    Multiplayer Servers Mod Application:

Are you active and helpful on our servers, forums, and Teamspeak? -
I am always on the Forums, having 380+ posts, always trying to post helpful posts that contribute to the discussion. I try to go into as much detail as possible with my posts (as you can tell from some of my recent posts), making sure that I get my point across and that I am understood. As for TS3, I try to get on as often as possible. I always love meeting new people, helping them out with all their needs, questions, and just having fun. Through TeamSpeak, I have already made some new friends, including some of the staff members. Whenever I am on the server, I always try and help all new players with their questions, such as "Where can I buy guns?" and "How do I aim down my sight?" I make player's questions my number one priority, for I feel that everyone should have their best experience here on Mc-Warfare, as I have over the past few months. I am always on McBrawl for hours upon hours, helping people out with anything they might need. I understand that if I start to lack in one of these aspects, it is very possible that I can be demoted.

Which server are you applying for? -
    I am applying for Mc-Warfare.

    How old are you? -
I am 15 years old, and I was born on February 10, 1998. I know that some people might argue that some 15 year olds can be a 'loose cannon' when it comes to maturity, but to my knowledge, I would say that I am more mature than the average 15 year old.

What time zone are you in? -
My timezone is UTC/GMT -5 hours EST.

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? -
I have been playing Minecraft for around two years now. I started out by playing single player, getting a feel for the game, learning how to basically survive. Once I mastered single player, I moved on to multiplayer, searching for servers that interest me. I started out playing prison themed servers, for I liked how they worked and how they functioned. I also took a liking for skyblock for quite some time, and later moved on to a variety of mini-game servers. After about a year of exploring and gaining Moderator experience, I decided to start a prison server of my own. It was very successful, being one of the first prison servers in existence. We gained many players, averaging from around 50-80 players daily. After we closed down (about 8 months later due to lack of funds/players), I began looking for more servers to play. When I found Mc-Warfare, I fell instantly in love. Never before have I played a server with guns, so it was very exciting learning how to play the first few days. After two weeks or so, I finally understood almost everything there was to know about Mc-Warfare, and decided that this was a server I would like to stick with for a long time. This turned out to be on of the best decisions of my Minecraft experience.

What is your experience with moderating servers? -
I have been Moderator on many large servers in the past. In fact, I have also Owned a very successful server myself. I will start off by going over my past experience as a Moderator. In my past two years of playing Minecraft, I have been Moderator on my unique servers. My first Moderator experience was when I came to GizmoServers. Gizmo is a very popular server, averaging around 100-150 players daily. Proof of their amount of players can be found here (keep in mind that GizmoServers is a network, so they have multiple servers). Gizmo was also the first Prison server that I ever played. When I first logged on, I was confused on how to play / what to do. As the days went by, I quickly learned how they worked, with the help of the community of course. After two of three months of playing as an average player, I decided to apply for Guard/Moderator (essentially the same thing at the time, almost like a Chat Moderator). During this time, I learned how Moderators should act, and that it is a big responsibility to handle. I realized that Moderators had to be professional, non biased authority figures. I am no longer currently staff on Gizmo, so I am not on their current staff list, but since the server is still up and running, I was still able to obtain some sort of proof of Moderation. As you can see here, I asked one of the Admins if I have ever been staff on GizmoPrison, and he replied that I have been in the past, and that I did well (You can also ask Luigi, for he was once an Owner of GizmoPrison, to clarify this. You could also ask Mario, the current Owner). As time went by, Gizmo then released their GizmoSkyblock server. At this point, I was already good friends with the Owners (Luigi, Mario, and Yoshi), so I offered to help build their Skyblock spawn. They agreed, and later gave me Admin for my help. Again, I am no longer Admin on GizmoSkyblock, but I do have screen shots of two Admins statements, found here and here. If any of you would like to clarify this information for yourselves, then the IP is mc.Gizmoservers.net (not advertising, this is just so you can verify my information). You can ask any Admin on the Prison, and/or any Admin on the Skyblock server (as long as they were there at the time), and they will clarify this as well. I have also been Moderator on many smaller servers, but I will not bother listing them, for they have either shut down, are too small, or I have no proof to stand by. Now, onto my past experience as a server Owner. From October 2012 to July 2013, I owned a very successful line of servers, called ACRealms. Back when we were at out prime, we averaged around 50-80 players daily. During this time, I learned not only what it is like to moderate a successful prison server, but also how to own one. It was a big responsibility, taking up much of my time, but it was all worth it in the end. Sadly, we had to shut down due to server funds/lack of players, but I will never forget what I learned from it. Unfortunately, I have no proof of this, for the server has been down for a few months now, and I have lost all my screen shots due to me getting a new computer. The only proof I have are whiteness' that were players/staff at the time. You can ask one of the four players, and they will all respond with the same answer (They all play McBrawl): Luigi, Yoshi, Mario, or Mojang. All of these players were once Moderators on my server, Mojang being the other Owner. During all of this time of moderating, I have learned all the guidelines that a Moderator should abide by, and how everything functions.

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? -
If I am ever so fortunate as to be granted Moderator status, I would help the Mc-Warfare community to the best of my abilities. This being said, I am the type of guy who welcomes all new players, giving them additional info about the server such as rules, what to do / how to play, and how to have a good time. I also like to help sort out feuds, such as maybe a person being accused of hacks, and sorting things out to determine whether this accusation is true or false. Another star quality of mine is that I always try to make Mc-Warfare a better place. I would strive to make Mc-Warfare the most user friendly server as possible, regardless of my position on the server. I believe that you don't have to be a staff member to make the server a better environment, simple things such as welcoming new players and helping Moderators catch unwanted hackers can be all the help in the world. This brings me to my second reason I would help the Mc-Warfare community. If I am ever granted Moderator status, I would do my best to keep hackers, advertisers, and wrong doers in check. I am always recording, constantly on the look out for suspicious activity, such as possible hacks, or people abusing glitches for their own personal gain. I try to report all the hackers that I find, but I would just like to have the authority to do something about it myself. I would like to do my part, and help make Mc-Warfare a hacker clean environment. I am on Mc-Warfare sometimes for hours straight, so I will always be on the look out for hackers, and catching them in the act. I normally go from server to server, mainly playing on server 5. I am also not the kind of person to over heat in situations, so I can handle situations maturely and calmly. I'm always making sure that I am making the right decision when it comes to a kick/tempban, making sure that I am not abusing my power in any way. I would do my best to insure that everyone is following the Forum rules, posting appropriate threads, and making sure that they are not violating the Forum rules in any way.

How active do you consider yourself in-game? -
During the summer, I am on Minecraft for around 2-12 hours a day (since school and sports are out), so I am always there in case anyone is in need of me. During the school year, I am still on quite a bit, but only for around 1-5 hours, only because I have both sports and school work to be completed. This will not stop me from being able to log on everyday in order to help the Mc-Warfare community. On weekends, when I don't have school, I tend to play much longer, such as 2-8 hours a day. For the past three three months or so, Mc-Warfare has been the only server I play on. This means that whenever I am on Minecraft, I spend all of my time playing Mc-Warfare with my friends and other members of the community. On a scale of 1-10 on activity in-game, I would say I am a 9. I say this because despite how often I log on, I also have sports an school to attend to, as mentioned above.

How active do you consider yourself on TS3? -
I try to be on the TeamSpeak as often as possible. Whenever I log onto Mc-Warfare, I normally also open up TS3 as well. I usually log onto the TeamSpeak when I get home from school, and stay on until the time I go to sleep. I do not always talk, for I am also sometimes in a Skype call talking to my other friends, but I normally try to respond to everyone that speaks to me. When I am on the TeamSpeak, I usually try and help people out to the best of my abilities. Although, since I am not a Moderator, they don't usually come to me with their questions, but when they do, I try to answer them as swiftly and clearly as possible. Their question may be as simple as "How do I talk?" Even then, I try to explain to the best of my abilities the answer to his/her question. When I am on the TeamSpeak, I normally just talk with other members, asking them what server they are on so we could all have a good time. On a scale of 1-10, I would say I am a 7 for TS3 activity. This is because I try my best to be of service everyday on the TeamSpeak, but sometimes I just talk in Skype with my other friends.

How active do you consider yourself on the forums? -
I am constantly on the Forums, whether I am at home, at school, or even on the road. Whenever I get on my phone, the first thing I do is go to the McBrawl Forums to see what is happening, and if there are any new ideas or updates about the server. I normally check every thread that I feel I may have an interest in (so basically every Mc-Warfare idea), and I always leave a helpful comment that will contribute to the thread. I usually am on at school whenever I have free time (which is generally whenever they allow us to get on our phones, or at the end of class/switching classes). I am normally on the Forums for 3-4 hours on weekdays, and around 3-6 hours on weekends. I currently have 380+ posts, and I plan on that number to increase significantly. On a scale of 1-10 on Forums activity, I would say I am a 9. I am on the Forums sometimes more that the servers themselves (this is because I have more access to my phone that my computer on week days due to school), creating new threads and stating my opinion on certain topics.

What do you consider your greatest strength? -
My greatest strength is a tie between two points. One of which is being able to connect with players easily. I always try to really connect with the members of the community, showing them that I am always available if they need someone to talk to, or if they have an issue with with a particular subject. I am really easy to talk to, making people feel welcome, and always explaining to the best of my ability how to play, and what they need to do. I always respond to anyone who speaks to me, whether they have a question, or simply want to start a conversation. My other strength is always putting forth my best effort in any activity. I cannot settle for less, for I feel like my job is incomplete. This is expressed through my behavior in-game, and how I type and speak to others (formally, with correct spelling and grammar).

What do you consider your greatest weakness? -
My greatest weakness in my opinion would have to be that I trust people to easily. I tend to become good friends with people quickly, sometimes trusting them too much. Although this is not always a bad thing, in some cases, it could end badly for me.

How would you handle someone making a minor transgression for the first time? -
I would inform them of what rule they are breaking, and tell them to stop the act immediately.

How would you handle the same person doing it again a second time? -
If what they are doing continues, I would take further measures and kick them, thoroughly explaining why they were kicked, and that there are harsher consequences if these acts continue.

How would you handle that person doing it again for the third time? -
After a third offense, the player obviously doesn't care about the consequences of their acts, and I would issue them with a tempban (no longer than 1 hour). I would then report them to a higher staff member, explaining the situation, and let them decide on further actions that should be taken.

What is your reaction if someone publicly proves you wrong on the forums? -
If someone proves me wrong on the forums, whether I have made a false statement or was confused about the situation, I would first check to make sure that their statement is valid. If the member is indeed correct, I would apologize for my remarks, correct myself, and make sure to correct my faults next time. Everyone makes mistakes at some point, no matter how educated you are on the subject. We are all human, and people make mistakes.

What would you do when someone breaks a rule on the forums? -
I would alert the player of his wrong doings, giving him a warning to make sure that it doesn't happen again, and kindly ask him/her to edit their post and make it more appropriate. I would then link them to the Forums Rules thread, to make sure that they do not break any more rules in the future. If these acts continue, I would report it to a higher staff member to insure that further punishment is taken.

When would you lock a thread? -
I would lock a thread under many circumstances:
    • The thread has gone off topic.
    • The thread has started a flame war.
    • The thread is a duplicate of another
    • The topic has been suggested many times before (I would then link them to any related threads).
    • The topic has been "brought from the dead," or in other words "A gravedig thread."
    • It is a spam thread.
    • The topic has been resolved/answered.
    • A lock was requested by the creator.
I would state which of these matters have occurred, explain why I am locking the thread, state that the thread has been locked, and lock the thread. If I have no authority on the thread (meaning I cannot lock in that section), then I would alert a Moderator/Admin who has the power to do so. I would also attach a link to the Forum Rules thread, so that the culprit can learn from his mistakes.

    Describe yourself in 3 words:
    Responsible, Reliable, Helpful

    Describe yourself in 1 sentence:
I am very hardworking, trustworthy and helpful, always answering people's questions to insure their best possible experience.

Anything else we should know about you? -
I am a 15 year old boy, turning 16 in the February of next year. I am a sophomore in high school, with excellent grades and enrolled in many honors classes. I don't have to study as much to make decent grades, giving me more time to browse the McBrawl forum, and play Mc-Warfare daily. If you ever need me, you can almost always contact me through the Forums (I check back ever 1-2 hours or so), or through Skype or TS3. I am always open to a question, whether it is about the servers, Forums, or anything you feel like talking about, so don't be hesitant to ask me. Mc-Warfare is my favorite server, therefor I love logging in everyday to play with friends, and to make new ones. I have a real passion for Mc-Warfare, and whether or not I am appointed this position of authority, it will still be my #1 all time favorite server.

Situation: A player is out of the map on MC-WAR. What are the steps that you would take to ensure that this player and situation is properly dealt with? -
The moment that I notice a player is out of the map, I would stop what I am doing and make the situation my number one priority. I would first ask them in public chat to return to the map, or type /spawn if this is not possible. If they do not respond, or refuse to abide, I will give them a final warning in /msg to return to the map, this time more stern then before. If they continue to ignore me, I would issue them with a kick from the server, thoroughly explaining that they were warned twice and that further disputes will result in further punishment. If these immature acts are to be continued, I would have no choice but to temporarily ban the player from the server (1 hour max), and report it to a higher staff member to discuss further punishment. I would then try to contact the player through the Forums, asking why they refused to listen to my orders.

Do you generally know how all the plugins and commands work? -
From my past Moderator experiences and my time being a server owner, I have come to learn nearly every command needed for a Moderator to excel in his profession. I also know all of the basic plugins such as NoCheatPlus, Essentials (I am aware that Mc-Warfare does not have Essentials), and many other plugins affiliated with Mc-Warfare. I have also fiddled with the PvPGuns+ plugin on my own server, learning some of it's basic commands and config. I am fully aware of the fact that Mc-Warfare has many custom plugins with custom commands that may be foreign to me, but I am a fast learner. Therefor, this will not be an issue for me.

Do you realize that if you are disrespectful or abuse your power, your power will be taken away? -
I am fully aware that if I abuse my Moderator powers, I will be demoted from my Moderator position. I also understand that if I am disrespectful towards any McBrawl member, I will be immediately demoted. Being a Moderator is a huge responsibility, and should not be taken lightly.

I have known Signatured for a very long time now. He is very mature and responsible with his academics and people in general. He is very friendly and I am very grateful to have him as a friend. Owning a server with you was a great learning experience and much fun indeed. This is a definite +1 for me, I really hope you get moderator as you are a very hard working person in my opinion.

Great job on the application, I think you could do very well as a moderator here. You seem to easily be mature enough and I don't know if it's timezones or not, but I haven't seen you on server 1. Playing on your usual servers (assuming higher numbers) while moderating would be great instead of everyone being on 1.

Thank you for the positive feedback. It's true, I play on higher servers more than server 1 (mainly on server 5). I would be more than happy to log onto server 1 more often. Again, thank you for the feedback!
