Why is Brawl dying?

    It is dying. Player counts are far, far lower than they once were. Not to mention, everyone* is out of school now. This is when player counts should be at their peak, excluding updates, events, etc.

    Brawl isn't dead (yet), but in my opinion, dropping player-counts are what you could call a server "dying".

    look at the playerbase in 2013 and 2014, and it's over 3000

    I think brawl is dying because it's like an old amusement park, you don't want to go because there are no new rides, but if you add new rides we get new people to come back.

    Brawl has added new things that is not the reason brawl is "dying" yes people want new updates but its because a lot of players get older so they get bored.

    And here we see an example of baseless optimism.

    M8 there's less players now than ever before and that number is decreasing. There's nothing wrong with games losing player bases; I doubt you can name games that were huge in 2008 with online players that still retain even 10% of their pop, barring WoW (which still shrank).

    I completely agree with at @BAWSS5 , I've said this on another thread but, fewer people are buying minecraft as a whole. Brawl is not the only server that has lost players, mineplex for example used to have 15,000 players. Now it has 6000-7000.

    Because Eula makes it so the server can't generate the revenue they used to, can't pay developers, and thus can't add new features.

    We have 9 gamemodes now. Y'all know about Battle Royale, so that makes a 10th. With 2 developers, it's very hard to keep all gamemodes updated, so we can't really do much at the moment in terms of updates.

    We're not a large network anymore unfortunately - updates will be more scarce than they used to, as we don't make as much income and can't afford as many developers.

    I've had a lot of my old friends slowly drift away from Minecraft and Brawl...
    WELL TOO BAD SUCKERS I AIN'T LEAVING SO SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP AND STOP SAYING BRAWL IS DYING I'VE BEEN HERE SENSE EARLY JUNE OF 2015 AND DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'VE LEFT?! NOPE.
    So uhh... yeah... tho brawl might be dying... STILL. I AINT LEAVING. NOPE. NEVER.

    How about instead of making new game modes they ****ing update the current ones.
    The reason brawl IS dead is because they keep saying oh yeah sure we'll fix the glitches soon... yeah there will be an update soon..
    Next thing you know you're 3 years older and they still haven't even fixed glitches.

    I haven't really made my opinion on this, surprisingly.
    So, let me speak, shall I?

    I believe Brawl isn't dying.
    We all have our opinions, but that's mine.
    I believe it's not dying because, there are still enough players on daily to say that the server isn't a small server.
    Yes, in 2014/2015 the server had over 1000+ players.
    From then to now, we have lost a lot, and I mean, a lot of players. (No offence)
    But, there is still a decent amount of "OGs" and new players joining brawl.
    Even though it is not as populated as it used to be, I believe it's not considered a "small server".

    This is my opinion. You may have a different one.
    Don't get triggered 'cause someone else doesn't agree.
