    Hey!
I have noticed that a lot of people are abusing the sponges in spawn, when kiting from a fight. If they're lagging it makes it really hard to catch them. And people are also using the end portal to instantly warp away. (maybe make it so you have to be 50 blocks away from spawn to warp?)
I think you should make a few changes in spawn

I don't think many players would like to walk 50 blocks away from spawn whenever they want to warp away (or ./random is on cooldown)

I believe a better solution would be to implement a Sponges Timer, which would work as the PvP one but with sponges. So players in combat wouldn't be able to get away that easily.

Kiting is a part of Raid or essentially any server that involves PvP. However I do agree it's a bit easy to kite in spawn. Perhaps we make the end portal in a different harder to reach area to remove people kiting into the end. I always liked using sponges in pvp fights, it makes it a lot more fun and intense in my experiences.

Making it harder to reach the end would just be annoying IMO, it's not so hard to stop someone from going to the end, they gotta be a long way in front of you to make it, the waterfalls take a lot of time. Also, if you have a teammate (s)he could just jump into the end and make it a 10 sec warp if you see your opponent walking to the pigspawners. Disabling the sponges (like enderpearl cooldown) would be a better choice imo.

Could make it like on HCF although the a shorter timer. If you have Combat Timer, there is a red glass wall around spawn stopping you from going in. If you aren't hit for 15 seconds, the red glass wall disappears however if you are hit again, the timer I will reset. If you don't have Combat Timer you can walk into spawn, you get spawn protection.

I don't like the thing about regaining spawn protection, however the rest is a +1 from me.

Why not just remove the sponges? I'm not a raid player, but I don't really see any point in them being there. As for the end portal, that should be made only accessible to people who have spawn protection.

Sponges are fun, the majority of players like the sponges. When they were broken in the 1.8 SPvP map players hated the fact that sponges were broken. Partially because it was an easy fix yet it took months to fix them and partially because everyone generally likes sponges.

Ah, I see (and disagree, but I'm clearly in the minority with that one).

Perhaps disable sponges unless you have spawn protection?

I like the concept, I would like a PvP timer better though. One that doesn't allow you to use sponges or go into the end portal until it runs out. I know a lot of people don't mind walking around spawn with no protection whenever they have their team around

Should be kept as it is, I am never able to kite using the end portal. It is easy to jump down and get below the person and force them up.

It's actually not hard if you have a kb sword and hit them away, if you do that you can just fall down the water fall while swinging up meaning they can't go down after you.

True, but who uses knockback 2 or even knockback 1 in PvP? No one that is experienced enough to know how to or what kiting is in my opinion.

I always take a normal sword and a kb sword for koth, means I can cap if needed, hit people away from the cap or back to the Koth or hit them away when I'm trying to kite, but with my normal sword it's easier to kill people. Kiting is a lot harder on raid than on say HCF as on HCF you just need to run back to your base (not saying kiting on HCF is hard because it is if you have to kite from a 10 man faction). Another tip is bringing enderpearls and just running out to where you can use them. If your chasers do have pearls as well, you can easily fake throw one and make them go the wrong way. There are many ways you can kite on raid however as you can build pretty much anywhere.
