My advice should be focused on my primary gamemode however, I feel a second opinion/advice can be given to the community in any section. But I get what you are saying, If you are indeed going in this direction from what I pick up here, are you telling me to maybe hold back a little bit in advice and opinions because of my past? If not, this is a fantastic start. Please tell me this is not what you mean here. (I don't want to be thinking negatively about people but asking you to make sure no one is offended/upset or angry or even have a thread meltdown) But my opinions should be restricted, people can comment on them, I am not saying I wont listen to anyone else, I just wont respond much to that situation soon as it could go off-topic.

They're not staff in the traditional sense - as in, they don't punish for rule breakers and they don't get to see staff chat. However, they are staff members because they volunteer their time to help Brawl and represent the server.
That's literally the reason why they're considered "semi-staff". No-one treats them like actual staff because they are semi-staff.
What do you mean by this? Wiki team members are expected to act like staff members, they just don't do the same job as traditional JMods and Mods do. I don't see how they don't "have permission" to act like staff.

Wiki team members are staff members - just because they don't have a tag in-game and don't ban people, this does not mean they are not.

There's absolutely no reason to deny wiki team members' privileges simply because "they're not staff" - they are people we can trust to respond to apps maturely and constructively, and often make longer responses than most JMods and Mods make. They're doing absolutely nothing wrong by being able to comment on staff apps - in fact, I listened to the feedback of wiki team members more than I listened to Canoodle's feedback.

I just don't see the harm in letting them post on staff apps.

No negative connotations involved here. The point I'm trying to raise is: By suggesting wiki-team members shouldn't be posting, you're denying yourself trustable advice, given some wiki-team members don't share my views, and would be reluctant to post information on forum profiles where they would on the thread itself. I don't quite understand where you got that idea from, my post simply inquired as to what direction you intended your message to be directed at.

Was in no direction other than my own. Some however, even staff have said this, you may not know what goes on behind scenes as much as the mods do. (This is aimed at most of the wiki in general not just you personally) You might have a brief insight but like featherpaw and things who are wiki know what it's like. But of course freedom of speech can and will never be prevented. So really, no matter even if you were stopped from replying to the apps, you really can just type on their wall anyway. So I suppose this thread is really eliminated just by that little point there.

It's more than simply "may" not know something. The only thing we know more than a regular player is what goes on with the wiki. We applied and were accepted for the role, and so they must trust us to some extent. We don't really know anything more than a regular player, let alone a moderator. My advice comes from the various moderators I do talk to on a regular basis as to the personality and traits the staff are looking for (as well as of course the staff requirements, which are visible to everyone).

Could does not mean will. I've already said I would continue to offer advice regardless because I feel it's important. With that said, not everyone is like me, and I daresay many would just not respond with anything other than a yes/no vote (otherwise player profiles would have a large increase in posts about their application, rather than just 1 or 2 votes). Opening it up in a thread format tends to generate more of a response from those you're allowing to respond.

Now that anyone can reply to staff apps this thread is pointless.
    Someone lock it please.
