Firstly, devs wouldn't take the time to post programming threads. I can assure you of that. They are way too busy. I am fairly certain on this.

Secondly, how would it help the community? At most, it will help the devs. That's it. It's basically suggesting a section that probably 20 people will bother to check, let alone use consistently.

 

Sections aren't made to cater to individual users, they're made to organize a large amount of threads (which there aren't any to organize so why have a section?).

 

I'm not trying to pick a fight, but this is basically the same argument you have used against the build showcases subforum in MinecraftBuild. Yet look at it now. Adding a new subforum for programming would give the incentive of posting, which encourages people to create threads on the section.

I don't see why this shouldn't be added, it really wouldn't hurt anyone to do so, and if it's inactive, just remove it.

 

As a programmer myself I see why you would want it but I'll have to disagree.

If I am working on something and get stuck, I will usually just head to spigot because most of their forum is dedicated to programmers. The brawl forum is more dedicated to players who are the playing the gamemodes and want to talk about that/ give suggestions. There is just no reason to go here with a question because:
1. You'll have to wait longer because most people aren't programmers on here
2. There are just better places to go to with questions

If you really want something like that, I suggest what the other people suggest, go to the technical section. Also if you are in trouble with any code, don't be scared to send me a message. I would love to try and help you when needed.

 

I think the mobile phone game section was there because Brawl used to have a Clash of Clans clan or something.

Once again, the question still stands, what is wrong with using the technology section? You still haven't justified this.

 

We currently do not feel as if a specific section for programming is necessary; it has never been a big discussion topic on the forums. We already have the Technology Discussion, feel free to post anything related to programming there.
