    Hello Brawlers,

    We left an in-game poll on CTF for a week to see if the players wanted to add sharpness 1 to medic swords on CTF. Here were the results:

    Because of the results, as of today we're doing a trial run with giving medics sharpness 1 gold swords. Let us know what you think about this change.

    Terrible change for the health of the game. It unbalances the class. Balancing should never been done based on a popular vote, people might want it, but that doesn't mean that it is a change that will improve the game.

    if the sharpness on medic stays, the health pool needs to be nerfed. medic was already strong, now it is stronger.

    also @Daniellll u can keep rating **** funny all u want but how abt u actually have a word in the discussion since u clearly feel so strong abt ur opinion & the minority opinion being funny. all u do is rate but u never say anything to us :thinking:

    Why would more people vote for it to be readded if they didn't think it would balance the game?

    Because they aren't voting in favour because they think it will be balanced. They vote because it will make medic better to play when you are fighting even though it is already the most op class in the game, but because people are really bad at pvp they want sharpness I to make up for their lack in skill.

    I remember back in the day when I made a thread saying that old engineer was OP, and people got so frustrated with this stance that it caused loads of people in the community to absolutely despise me. Now we're afraid of giving a class the equivalent of a sharp 1 wood sword...

    Just because its a popular vote doesn't mean the majority has made the right decision. Not everyone understands how balancing the game works and this was primarily changed so medic becomes a heavy 2.0 again (and if you're going to argue if that the majority know their stuff look at past staff reworks, done by a few experienced and knowledgable people and for the most part did a good job in making changes)

    Do either of you 2 actually play medic? If you do then you would understand how hard it is to kill ninjas etc. The only reason I can see people against sharp 1 is because they aren't skillful enough to kill a medic which has sharp 1.

    You seem to forget that is stronger than a stone sword and becomes better than an iron sword when buffed. Lets also acknowledge the fact you ignored the impact this would have on medic teaming

    I've played medic plenty of times and my conclusion was you don't need a harambe client to kill things as medic. Hell it really never was a problem. People complained mostly against the classes that are actually meant to deal more damage and fare a better chance against medic such as ninja.

    But any class can be buffed so that's not an argument. I agree that medic is slightly op with this change but take away a steak and it'll be perfect.

    Taking away a steak doesn't make this a justified change. Making it less tanky to deal more damage is ridiculously stupid for a support class

    When capping with medic, you usually have to fight against 2 or more ninjas. If it takes ages to kill one of them, the other one will be able to deal lots of damage without taking any. It's not really about skill because even the best pvper will have to take damage because another ninja will be hitting at the same time, only way to kill both at the same time is with hacks.

    A stone sword is crap - if a stone sword is so good, why does archer have one? I thought it wasn't supposed to be a melee class? Archer even has better armour than medic does.

    The impact on medic teaming will be minuscule - sharpness I is a very small buff and medic still has weak armour.

    Ah, I seem to have found your problem
    emphasis on support and not carry
    Don't see why you should buff a class's damage just to make it more of a capping class, with that logic let's also give archer 2 more steak so archer capping becomes the meta

    ALSO, webs. Not so difficult to land. Ninjas lose hearts whilst pearling making them more vulnerable to dying to 1 hit.

    Sure, same damage output as archer, that doesn't make them the same threat in melee terms.
    Archer has 2 less steak than medic, giving medic already the upper hand, that's not even counting medic's auto regen and cc that allows it to just pin down an archer with ease or for that matter even a soldier or chemist as well

    I'd like to see it game, and maybe some matches before everyone jumps to conclusions about how op it is, or if we even want this change to happen. Remember this is a trial for a reason. At the moment, it's not permanent. So, how about we give it some time, and some gameplay, then go from there.
