    What do you guys think we could do to improve warz's player base? in around 2012-2015 there were like 100-300 members on at alltimes. Now theres 10-50. We've tried alot of tactics but somehow they work temporary and then goes back to same old.

    In the comments below please say what you think we could do to improve the player base, and the staff could probably look at it and talk through it with the others, thanks!

    I've explained this on another old thread, but I will explain it here as well. WarZ has had almost no new players since 2014. Players joined WarZ until the peak in 2014, and then players just started leaving. WarZ really hasn't had any new players join, it's just had players leave. The odd War or Wildwest player may have switched over to WarZ, but there aren't many of them. That being said, the only way to get new players would be a new gamemode that attracts a new player base, and a ton of advertising.

    Do you have any numbers or statistics to support this? Or is this just a wild guess? Last time I talked to @Mario he mentioned there were tons of unique players.

    Player retention seems to be the problem, not player supply. However I agree, lots of people are leaving and the server needs a massive update

    making the server more accessible for whitenames is the best way to keep the current playerbase and gain new players

    I am not saying there are not unique players, I am saying that these unique players are not staying or purchasing a rank. My observations are not quantitative, rather qualitative observations about the players. Also, it may be a guess, but not a wild guess. From 300 active players down to 30 active players is a pretty obvious observation. And given that the player base only went down, I'd say it's not a wild guess in the slightest.

    player retention is the problem.

    we get hundreds to thousands of unique players daily

    can't be done because this jeopardizes how much revenue the server can generate

    something like a 10 minute tp timer (super long and people will still donate if theres an elite weeken every month or something to show the whitenames how nice it is to have the 60 second timer) along with guides about how to combo, fight, etc.

    in my honest opinion the learning curve is what keeps players away. not having the ability to tpa isn't really the problem because just to get the ability to tp (VIP) is $5. you literally probably that much in spare change around your house.

    Learn your choice of words... "no new players" isn't the same as no player retention

    What I meant in my initial post is that no new players are staying. I was more speaking of active players with ranks. So when I stated that no new players were joining, I was mostly referring to there not being an increase in active donors. It was a poor choice of words from me, but I thought I would further elaborate as to what I meant.

    So in other words... no player retention.

    Here's the problem with you and the rest of staff. Without player retention you won't get new "active players with ranks," which is all you care about. Make the whitenames stay and the donations come. You cant just skip the retention part

    You can't just assume people will donate "because it's only $5." When you checkout at the grocery store, there are a TON of candy options. And they're less than $5! Do you see people buying them all the time? Nope.

    Now if that store opened a sample stand and gave out free pieces of candy, people would be more likely to buy the <$5 candy. They taste it, they like it, they buy it.

    Without a sample, they have to risk their money. What happens if my money goes to waste because I hate the candy? What happens if my donation rank goes to waste because I'm not any good and it's not fun... Not many people like risks. Give them long TPs, they realize how necessary they are, and then they buy a donor rank.

    Also give them a tutorial because the new people suck

    WarZ needs an enhanced survival aspect if it is going to become more popular. If you're bad at WarZ, your experience will pretty much be looting for a few hours, dying to a large team/someone who knows what they're doing, looting again .etc. The looting process is no fun whatsoever - zombies aren't challenging, you'll typically try to avoid players, and it's just a matter of looting chests until you get all the gear you need. There's no fun in that. However, if the survival aspect were enhanced, looting would be fun too for a new player. A new player wouldn't get bored and log off 10 minutes, because as they're looting for gear, they'd be enjoying themselves. This doesn't mean actual PvP needs to be discouraged, but PvE is absolutely terrible right now and it needs to be improved.

    Guides on how to combo and all that stuff is pointless. Even if you can combo, you'll pretty much need to join a team to stand a chance in WarZ, and that can take months for a new player to do.

    Here's the problem with some members of the community: you have a few bad experiences with staff members, then assume absolutely every staff member Brawl will ever have are just as bad. This makes it incredibly hard for staff members to want to go completely off of community input.

    Advertising is too expensive for Brawl to do at the moment. And even if we could advertise, we'd get a huge flow of new players who'd join, play for 10 minutes, then leave.

    if you can combo you can join a team pretty easily

    Likewise, when you're the only staff member that shares that opinion with me, I can usually generalize the rest. Congrats that your pride has been lifted because you've tried to make WarZ a better place. The majority of staff that actually can do something (SMOD+) doesn't give a damn about whitenames

    Well that 100+ playerbase for WarZ alone was back when brawl was averaging 1k+ players. Thats not the case anymore, as players have migrated away from the game.

    WarZ 2.0 will be released in the upcoming months I can tell you that. It will definitely boost playerbase.

    Everyone that have played warz for a while is a lot better than new players obviously, however for the last years everyone have been so much a head of new players that the distance is just to far. They are not able to learn with all these OP players around, so it becomes boring.

    You cant attract a new player base when the original players will just destroy them. Learning everything you need to know takes months, and no one will stick around that long if they just keep dying...

    You cant get a new playerbase without removing the old one.
