In the handbook, change this sentence: "In general, your priority should be handcuffing rather than killing someone." to this:

"In general, your priority should be killing someone rather than handcuffing, if the player is KOS".

Or just put in the dev time to make rogues KOS...yknow...Battle Royale was just released and Signatured also just completed faking 1.7 PvP...which leaves an available dev...

    But yknow....

It's Brawl we're talking about here...

    ...soooo.....

    ....yeah.

Sig's still busy working on stuff.

Blame Chap for promising 10000 different things that we couldn't keep up with ._.

Hitchen's thread discussed this quite recently, so I shall quote what I said there here since it is still relevant:

Then you can still cuff them without breaking any rules.

Agreed. I don't see this changing anything.

I really don't have a response that isn't totally aggressive, flame centered, and overall incorrect, so I'll get back to this later after thinking about it. I don't blame you guys for Chap's failings though.
I understand where you're coming from; the whole “Survival of the fittest" and free-for-all, backstabbing, and cutthroat (?) attitude most of the community seems to project. But the fact of the matter is that Brawl Wild West is not THE Wild West.

Players shouldn't be cutthroat, ruthless, dirty, and underhanded players. They shouldn't be backstabbing each other. The original Wild West had a very community-like feeling to it. That's what made the gamemode great. Not the economy. Not the team rivalry. Not sheriff cuffing. Not just one of those things. They're just components that affected the community feel.

Let me lay out a situation for you.

Me, TheMafias, Rehqb, and TheWubzsters (CROW days, lul) roll into Poppy base. Team of six kids camped out in arms dealer, full diamond.

TheMafias, Rehqb, and Wub start assaulting from the front. I drop in from above and take out two, then run. Didn't even see me. The other three push in and take out the rest. Six sets of diamond.

In the middle of us looting, Serine and a couple other sheriffs turn up, cuffing Mafias and killing the other two. I had bleed effect, so I logged in the tower. Barely made it out, and lost every set of diamond we had earned.

There was no salt directed at sheriffs. There was no hate from the team we killed. We were all friendly, spouting GG and chatting about the fight. Sure, we were a little disappointed we lost so much, but that's part of the game.

This is what made Wild West great, and this is what will make Wild West great again.

I remember those days, I played them. However, the reason a lot of flame occurs, is due to sheriffs cuffing, and the reason sheriffs cuff is because they are against much larger numbers - Before, 6 was really the largest team you got, now, it can get up to 10+, which is simply too much for a small group of sheriffs to handle without bringing out the cuffs. I would love to see WW return to how it was in the old days, but this change, won't bring that about IMO.

But that seems still your opinion. We have no clue how exactly it would affect the gameplay.

Yes, and that is slightly understandable, but some sheriffs cuff + ticket while rushing as a suicide. Or some sheriffs cuff small groups during combat, (against rogues) which is, to be quite frank, very annoying. If some sheriffs didn't use cuffs for OP or troll, I'd dig it.

I would never do that... Droiid_'s alt for sheriff. lmao

I think wild west is pretty fair. Sheriffs cuffs are pretty much fine except for cuffing on horses.

Making sure is this a must do rule yet or not? Some people say its not a rule.

It is not a rule yet at least, but it can be discussed on this thread (and on the one I made before) without spamming new threads.

Ok, but will sheriffs be able to use this rule now even though it is not a obligatory rule.

Sheriffs should follow the rules in the sheriff handbook. None of those rules have been changed yet.

Your suggestion was about making shooting rogues priority, this suggestion is about making shooting people who are KOS priority.

Seems like a minor difference but in reality, my suggestion will simply stop sheriffs from cuffing people who are KOS, whereas yours would have a much larger effect on the play style of sheriffs (and playing against them).

Oh yeah there is a difference. Would be interesting to see how people vote on this one (if you could add a poll).
