I find this thread useless. I do agree that we could use more staff, that's why staff apps are still open.

Just help out the community by recording the cheaters. This doesn't mean teaming on the cheaters. If you don't like how you're not allowed to team on cheaters, make a thread about it.

You said you already record them so what's the point of this thread. Some staff don't always come emediately so just /friend JMods and Mods so you can PM them when needed.

I don't understand this thread.
Record & Reporting doesn't always ban them instantly, but they still get banned.
Even though sometimes there's blatant cheaters and all you can do is wait after you reported them, staff can't do anything about it. If there's a cheater with no staff online & it takes forever for the report to be looked at, just wait and or pray that the BrawlBot gets it. If there's no staff, the community can't do much. That's why staff apps are still open.

Yeah unfortunately it seems so often every time you get on the server there seems to be someone who is cheating for an extended amount of time before anything happens to them. Has caused me to join the server less often for sure.

Yes definitely as has been mentioned before the most proactive way to ban hackers is TO RECORD! Anyone can download a screen recorder nomatter how "bad" their computer might be, if you only get 30 frames get a low profile recorder like Fraps or Dxtory and only open it when needed. Record a short clip, and upload to youtube.

Yup proactive and wait for 30 minutes to render/upload, another 5 minutes for a response, and maybe an extra 8 hours because no staff is online. Plus this is a very low possibility considering no one records.

Also-also-also don't you think it's staff job to ban hackers? Rather than you know... the community? Not everyone wants to be "proactive" as you say. We got people who don't /report cheaters because they genuinely don't feel like it, or they feel no use... Do you understand that? A server must have some terrible response time to make it wide and clear that /report doesn't do anything...

 

Yes, you're right. It's our job to do so but it's also our job to take a look at reports and resolve them. That's where you come into the game. You are supposed to record if there's no staff on to ban the hackers IF you want to have them banned.

 

True,there isn't a lot of Mods that are EU. Into the recording part, I would suggest you record if you have plenty of time. But, most hackers will end up getting banned by the anticheat. Yes, they might be cheating for a few hours but at the end they will get banned. For the VPN's part I'm not too sure if all of VPN'S are blocked.

Ya but that's a solution that takes more than 30 minutes. It's not that we want them banned, it's just that we want to play, and we can't play with a hacker that has been blatantly cheating for a while. And suppose they do come back on an alt, do we have to let the hacker roam around for another 30 minutes as I wait to render/upload evidence of a cheater that has another chance to come up on a different alt?

We only team on them because it's a quick easy solution that every person in game would agree to take part in (which is team on the hacker). Doesn't take a 30 minute process that may not work...

 

So imagine if you think someone is Killauraing but he really isn't and is suddenly being teamed on by 3 people. Don't u think he's being annoyed then?
I understand the reasoning behind it but it's just simple that nothing sets you above anyone else just because you see someone breaking the rule.

 

We've always been talking about blatant cheaters, I wouldn't be arguing my side if we weren't. I'm not trying to set myself above those who do make the game unplayable, I just don't want to be put on the same level as those who blatantly cheat. Which me getting punished for teaming on them makes me feel as if I am as bad as them, or even lower because I'm actually try to enjoy the game.

 

You are on the same level. Every single rule breaker is punished accordingly. Even teaming counts as broken rule.

 

On the same level as someone's only desire is to ruin the game for others? Again we're talking about blatant cheaters. While people who team on blatant cheaters are only there to not put up with the bull**** that comes through kitbrawl no a daily process by problem solving and making it easier for those who want to play legitimate? Does that seem fair...? Blatant cheaters vs. "Rule Breakers" who just want it easier on those who just want to play.

 

There is a non-tolerance quote I'd like to bring up. They are breaking the rule, you are breaking the rule. You are completely equal since you both break the rules that are given for a Server. I am right now only telling you what I can tell you since IF we add a rule that will allow you to team against hackers , some Moderators will either miss out on it or falsely interpret situations which will make punishing correctly much harder so you, the rule breaker will be punished as well as the other rule breaker.

 

Why don't the devs just work on a new anti cheat like honestly a new anti cheat could change brawl a lot, That only depends if it bans the cheaters instead of the legit players. I see more legit players getting banned than cheaters and it's a problem, And i see kids bhopping around brawl and they aren't banned for like 10 minutes sometimes even 20 minutes, But honestly a new anti cheat that can actually ban cheaters would change brawl a crap ton with the cheaters ngl and i totally agree with some of the people that say we need more mods in this community because we really do need more moderators to moderate kitbrawl, It's so sad to see brawl go down like this and be filled with filthy stupid cheaters that have no social lifes. I've always wanted to be a mod on brawl too but i would have to change my behavour around and i am thinking about a change so i can be a moderator one day on brawl and i am very active on the server. I might appeal one day ngl.
