How about we all just agree to let it go and stay on the topic? It's in the past, it's not a big deal.

Because those are entirely fictional stories, designed to entertain people. If the Bible is to be truth, it would make sense for it to be the stage of actions in more than just a small area.

Do you really think a book claimed to be written by a god who rules over the entire universe have it only take place in that circle? Should it be compared to the likes of escape fiction? @Gehenna_Beam

If I may put it like this: An atheist may not say that there is no god, but an atheist may say that there is no reason to think that there is a god. It is admitting to not know, the very opposite of believing.

Some would then apply russel's teapot argument (or something similar) to all specific/detailed descriptions of gods.

I know the feeling. I use to think like that myself.

OK. The answer I was hoping for was the author chose those locations.

I don't know what escape fiction is.

Ok. But how do you overcome it and know what youre believing is true. I feel completely abandoned and I don't know what to do with my faith.

    Fiction meant for entertainment

Rather than looking for god, look for yourself, ultimately do what makes you happy. If faith finds its way back to your life then so be it.

Having faith does help people, but If you don't have it you don't have it. There's no sense in stressing over it. I come from deeply religious backgrounds but it just doesn't make sense to me

I can't explain how I came back to God. It's like God came to me and opened my heart back to Him. I haven't been the same sense. I will say this, God used the struggles of another Brawl player to bring me back to Him. Before, I was apathetic and almost never spoke to God.
I am much happier loving God than I was not loving Him. I really feel the meaning in my life now.

You could seek help from your parents or your pastor.

Would it be fair to say that most Christians are less invested in their religion than you are? I'm not sure how crazy America is with religion.

Compared to other developed countries I think the U.S is pretty religious in terms of the % of people that are religious, but I don't think most people practice or are invested a whole lot.

I don't know. I hope most Christians are they way they should be and not these sin-sympathizers that claim to be Christians.
I think you shared something that said Sweden and New Zealand were the most Godless countries on Earth.

    Onto something else.

This is why Christians get scared and angry over stuff like this.

    (16) And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, (17) and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. - Revelation 13:16-17

If were going down this road already, then Jesus' return is possibly in sight, though the Bible says "No one will know the day of His return." "He will come like a thief in the night."

Whether you're a Christian or not, you probably have to acknowledge that there will one day be a brutal one-world dictatorship that will make Nazi Germany look like Iceland, right?

I don't get it, why does all that lead to a world scale Nazi Germany?

I don't think the world can be united under a dictatorship as oppressive and harsh as Nazi Germany, because the fuel for the dictatorship was unifying antisemitism. Until waaay more people than do now start to share some similar hate, I don't think any global dictatorship will be naziish.
Maybe the world will be united under a dictatorship, I don't know. I can't see the future. It seems unlikely to me, but I also don't feel like it's totally out of the question.

What do you see coming out of Islam's ever growing numbers? It will be the largest religion in the world one day. It will particularly dominate European countries like France and the UK.
I don't see moderates like Sadiq Khan being the majority. I'm pretty sure the traditional Muslims will be the majority.

Because they are fiction and the author probably choose to have them set in those places due to personal preference. Unless you're implying the Bible is fiction (it is), then I don't know what point you're trying to raise here. If Harry Potter were supposed to be the book that everyone on the planet should live by, then I would question why it's so centered on the UK. Same for Hunger Games and Batman.

It just makes us wonder what's so special about the Jews that God revealed himself to them and no one else.

Also, Gehenna, I may have asked this before, but I'll ask again because since I can't remember you probably didn't give me a very good answer:

What explanation is there for the different race/ethnicity/skin color of humans other than evolution? Chinese people, Africans, Europeans, Native Americans, Polynesians, they're all descended from Adam, yes? That's an enormous amount of diversity for 6,000 years and no clear explanation of why it happened... if you don't believe in evolution.

Also another question: you do know that you can't start an entire population from just two people without experiencing serious, usual fatal, problems, right? That's a biological fact. Lack of genetic diversity can be a killer, you get things like face cancer in Tasmanian devils (yeah it's fked up). With Adam and Eve, it would be even worse.

I mean for one thing, Eve and Adam are genetically identical, right? Because Eve was made from Adam? So how could they even have genetically diverse kids? And if even if they could, the grand kids would be horribly mutated and stuff, they'd get genetic conditions that really hamper quality of life. It's just not biologically possible for humanity to be as we are today from Adam and Eve.
