Fascist? OK firstly, have you seen the response of the President to the white supremacist/fascist rally in Charlottesville, a guy you voted for?

Secondly, it's not fascism for the government to enforce a curriculum for students so that they don't grow up believing in fairy tales instead of facts. You clearly don't know much more about politics than you do about science.

Do you think schools should be able to teach students that the earth is flat?

Lastly, if it's not too personal a question, why did your mom take you out of school? Was it to do with religion?

I mean... The government can't force a curriculum like that...
"The public-private distinction is frequently overlooked but is a potent and defining legal difference worth pausing to examine. In some ways, the climate and character of public schools is defined by the legal footprint. Public schools

    • Must be fair to religion while avoiding devotion.
    • Must treat all children equally.
    • Must depend annually on state and federal laws to finance ambitious programs.
    • Must respect the freedoms that students and staff hold as American citizens."
What you said shows extreme favoritism to nonbelievers. Anyways it is not up to the government to dictate if every child should be forced to learn about Evolution. Some parents take their kids out of the public system so they aren't, as you might say, be "brainwashed" by controversial topics, such as Evolution.

    Huh.

Unfortunately I have to refrain from calling you a moron because I don't want the banhammer again, but... y'know...

    1. You don't think it's the governments job to tell schools what they can and can't teach children?

    2. On the fairness towards religion, I'd say it depends what you mean by "fair". Public schools should keep religion out of science class, and I think religion should be an option through Religious Education classes if kids want. I also think that learning about religious beliefs can be usual in history, but it can't be biased towards a religion and you can't teach it as the truth.

    3. What freedoms are being taken away by having your child learn about the way the world works?

    4. EXTREME FAVORITISM TO NON-BELIEVERS? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. My friend, evolution should be taught, and normally is taught, without a single mention of religion. If your child being taught the truth is insulting to you or your "beliefs" then that's no one's problem but your own and maybe your religion is the problem.

Would you say that the way students currently learn about the shape of the Earth shows extreme favoritism to round-earthers and is heavily biased against flat-earthers? No, because it's the f*cking truth and the school system doesn't have to cater to people who refuse to accept it.

    5. Deciding that every child should learn about evolution is a function of the government as much as teaching basic arithmetic. Should parents be able to take their kids out of school to teach them 1+1=3 because they don't like that the government is teaching them 1+1=2?

    6. Brainwashed? I mean firstly you can't be brainwashed into believing something that's objectively true. Brainwashing normally refers to OPINIONS or things that aren't true. No one is brainwashed into thinking that 1+1=2, to continue with that example. Secondly, brainwashing implies that you're pressuring someone into believing something. The public school system doesn't pressure kids into learning evolution any more than it pressures them into learning about how atoms work.

    7. Just because a topic is "controversial" doesn't mean that the school system doesn't have a responsibility to teach kids the truth.

MY GOD IT'S SO HARD NOT TO CALL YOU STUPID :frowning:

Is this guy serious? It looks like total sarcasm. Anyway, I don't believe in such a thing as a psychotic Christian. You either are a Christian or you aren't. This guy is not.

Mr. Fred Rogers never served in the military, never did drugs, and other disgusting stuff (Clarification: Serving in the military is not disgusting.). Mr. Rogers was a real Christian, a Presbyterian minister to be exact. You can see the love of Jesus in him.

No True Scotsman Fallacy, that's called. Google it.

Also are drugs disgusting? I'm curious as to what the Bible says on drugs.

Yeah, he condemned them. I don't know what the fuss is? Maybe it's just the radical left's natural hate for him no matter what he does. If President Trump supported single-payer healthcare, the radical left would still hate him. He also condemned the truly fascist, Antifa.

It is fascist if you don't believe in freedom of education. Evolution is not a primary education subject. It's not like math, English, and history (By the way, our schools don't history anymore. Why? I don't know.). The Christian private schools surely don't teach evolution.
I think it's kind of fascist of Germany having home-schooling illegal. There have been families who flee Germany and come to America so their kids can be home-schooled.

No. The flat-Earthers are in the same boat as the communists who think communism never killed anyone and the genocides are made up as a global anti-communist conspiracy.

Sort of. She said God told her to home-school us. Also, the school in our district is a poor, failing school. I wish we had school choice, but no, the radical left hates it for no good reason.

Interesting, but it's true. You can't be taking scripture out of context the way you do and call yourself a Christian. The Westboro Baptist Church is not Christian.
The same can be said in politics. You can't call yourself a socialist when you take millions of dollars from Wall Street.

    Just a few.
    (19) Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? (20) For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
    1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. - Romans 13:13

envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. - Galatians 5:21

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. - 1 Peter 5:8

    1. He also said there were "two sides" to the protest, like the anti-nazi protesters were just as bad as the Nazis. David Duke, former KKK Grand Wizard has taken Trump's reaction to be practically an endorsement. Sure Trump himself isn't a white supremacist but the way he deals with the topic doesn't exactly send a message to white supremacists. And you know why? White supremacists voted for him.

    2. Well, if we're gonna talk radical left, you gotta define it first. Who are they? If Trump supported single-payer but nothing else, I would still probably be against him. If he supported single-payer and did other good things too, then I'd get behind him. I don't hate him for the sake of it, I hate him because he's a terrible human being and his policies are garbage.

    3. "Freedom of education". WHAT? This is not a thing, you've pulled this out of your a$$. You do not, as a parent, have the right to teach your kids whatever you want in place of actual education. I think you're misunderstanding something here. If your kids get taught evolution at school and then they come home and you tell them it's all BS, then you're a terrible parent but it's your right to do that. The schools teach your kids what they can, but outside of school you can raise them how you wish. What you can't do is just take school out of the equation and replace it with your religious bullsh*t.

    4. "Evolution" is not a subject. It's part of biology, which is part of science, which I sure hope is being taught at schools in America.

    5. I don't agree with home-schooling being illegal, I just think it should be regulated to ensure that parents are teaching their kids what they need to learn. And you need to stop throwing the word "fascist" around, like it means the government making people do anything that you disagree with. You're just as bad as the "radical leftists" who claim that all Trump supporters are fascist. Sure, the ones at Charlottesville were fascists but most of them aren't.

    6. Wait so a couple sentences ago you said that we should have "freedom of education", but now you're saying that schools shouldn't be able to teach kids about the flat earth? Now who's the fascist? Gehenna, you've got two options here without being a hypocrite. Either a) schools and parents can teach kids whatever the f*ck they want without an expectation of it being true or scientifically proven or b) schools and parents are required to teach kids a basic standard of science, maths, et. cetera and you can't opt out just because you don't like it. Which is it? It's ridiculous to claim that it's "fascism" to force kids to learn about evolution, but also you can't teach kids about the flat earth? I've told you, evolution is as much a part of science as the shape of the Earth. You have not yet proven to me that the Earth is round.

    7. Communism hasn't killed anyone. Or, it has and capitalism has killed more. This is an entirely different debate btw, but let me just say that millions of people are starving to death while millions of people are dying of eating too much, and that is the product of the capitalist system. If you want to say communism has killed millions then sure, but capitalism has killed billions. We can argue which is better for hours and I'm pretty sure it's capitalism anyway, but it's not black and white like "communism is evil and has killed millions", "capitalism is perfect freedom".

    8. OH THIS IS BRILLIANT. YOUR MOTHER MADE DECISIONS ABOUT HOW TO EDUCATE HER CHILDREN BASED ON THE VOICES IN HER HEAD. That's it. I'm calling Child Protective Services. I know you're like 25 now Gehenna, but that's just fked up. If my mother told my high school that she wanted to take me out and home-school me and when asked why she said "the voices in my head told me to", I guarantee you that either the school or friends/family would intervene. This is actually 100% completely f*cked up. I'm sorry you had such terrible parents Gehenna.

    9. Actually you can. As long as you follow some kind of Bible scripture of teaching of Jesus, you're as much a Christian as anyone else. Are you trying to tell me that you follow the Bible to the letter, 100% of them, every single passage? It's impossible. Some people might claim you're not a true Christian because you don't follow the laws of the Old Testament.

    10. Depending on whether you mean actual socialism (communism) or democratic socialism, you can do that too. If Bernie Sanders took millions of dollars from Wall Street but still advocated for free healthcare, free tertiary education, raising taxes on the rich, then I wouldn't like him as much but he'd still technically be a (democratic) socialist.

    11. On the last thing; have you never drunk alcohol during the day?

YES! This is just one example out of the hundreds!

Modern versions also teach false doctrine like worksalvation; they also attack Jesus' deity. For a more detailed explanation of that you can check these out:

How the modern versions attack the doctrine of salvation/Jesus' deity by dr. Douglas D. Stauffer.

Some things I want to reply to:

1.) There were two sides of the protest! It was leftwing-extremists vs rightwing-extremists. Also, Trump can't help who vote for him. I'm sure many left extremists also voted for Clinton.

3.) Education should be neutral in my opinion. They should emphasize on free thinking and should teach both evolution and creationism as theories. Let the children themselves conclude what they believe to be true. Also, the schools should get rid of left-wing bias.

4.) It's hilarious how atheists like you talk like (macro)-evolution is a fact, but there is 0 evidence for it. Never have we scientifically observed one species giving birth to another species. All the evidence the evolutionists provide is in favour of micro-evolution, which are merely variations.

8.) You have a point here, lol.

9.) Not everyone who calls himself a christian isn't one. A christian isn't someone who follows the Bible 100%. A christian is someone who is saved; nothing more, nothing less. A christian is someone who has faith (trust) in the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV) for the payment of sins, salvation from hell and eternal life. A christian believes the gospel by faith alone apart from works (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV, Romans 4:5 KJV, Romans 11:6 KJV) and the (King James) Bible is the source of that christian's faith (Romans 10:17 KJV). ''Christians'' that are trusting in their works to save them are not saved, because they don't believe the gospel. They will end up in hell because they didn't rely upon what Jesus did for eternal life (Matthew 7:21-23 KJV).

    1. What exactly were the left-wing extremists doing? They sure as hell didn't kill anyone. And I'd like to know what they did that's on the level of the Nazi and KKK sht that went down on the far-right. Also, yes Trump can't directly prevent white supremacists voting for him but it does beg the question; would they vote for him en masse if he didn't give them some kind of reason to? And again, I'd like to know who these "left extremists" are. Can you outline the specific groups, people, and what they believe in?

    3. That's moronic, I'm sorry. Should schools teach "flat earth" and "round earth" as theories and let children decide? They shouldn't pretend two theories are equal when they're plainly not. The job of science class isn't to consider all viewpoint, it's to consider the correct viewpoint. If there's something that hasn't been proven, like what caused the Big Bang, then I'm very happy for there to be classroom debate and let kids make up their mind. But with evolution, there is only really one truth that science accepts and it's not creationism. Not to mention that it often won't be the kids who conclude what's true but their religious parents doing it for them. Also, evidence of this "left-wing bias" please?

    4. This is even more moronic, amazingly.

    a) We do have evidence, and it's compelling enough that the entire scientific community is pretty much unanimous on the topic of evolution. The main parts of this evidence (there may be others) are fossil records, evolutionary changes in moths due to the industrial age, evolutionary changes in bacteria to cope with antibiotics, bio-geography, radiometric dating, comparative anatomy, etc.

    b) Micro-evolution and macro-evolution are essentially the same thing, to the extent that I really don't think it's necessary to differentiate between the two. You acknowledge that micro-evolution is variations and that it exists, but don't you understand that macro-evolution is just variations too? When humans evolved from apes, we didn't evolve just in one giant leap. Each step, carried out over a few thousand years (massive approximation) would seem like micro-evolution when viewed by itself but when you look at the bigger picture, the organisms change massively over time. Micro-evolution is evolution within one species, macro-evolution is evolution that changes a species to another. But it seems to have slipped your understanding that the idea of a "species" is just an arbitrary line that we drawn in the sand to differentiate organisms from one another. Do you really think that nature obeys this random line that we've drawn? Just so you know, there's no specific point as an ape transforms into a human that you can say that an organism is an ape yet their child is a human.

So basically, micro-evolution proves macro-evolution, even though there's other evidence for the macro as well. If you have 1,000,000 little changes to an organism that are all technically "micro-evolution" then you step back and look at it, you'll realize that the new organism is a completely different species to the old.

ffs it seems like 99% of the things y'all ask me about evolution just come from you not understanding how the processes work. natural selection, hereditary mutations, look it up

    8. thx

    9. i dont even know what you're trying to say here

    Those clown faces are disturbing

Well explained. I believed in evolution but i couldn't really differentiate between the micro-study and the big picture. (bacteria and the relation of that evolution to humans) Thanks for helping me out.

    @Gehenna_Beam
"Gehenna" is an analogue of "hell" in christianity. Is this intentional?

You know what, take it up with the supreme court. I would LOVE to see you call them morons especially when they question your viewpoint. Seriously start the process and let's see what happens. Sarcasm aside Religion is more widely accepted in America so it's not an uncommon thing for a mother to try and to protect her child.

And just as a note it's unlikely that the government would impose a law that would force kids to learn about Evolution and even if they did it would be ruled unconstitutional:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

"Freedom of education is the right for parents to have their children educated in accordance with their religious and other views, allowing groups to be able to educate children without being impeded by the nation state."

Actually I just read something recently that provides a different viewpoint on the teaching of Evolution in the public school classroom. "Public schools are required by certain state laws to educate their students in a secular manner so as not to endorse any specific religion." From the sound of this statemnt, it sounds that they teach Evolution not because EVERYONE thinks it's a fact, but because it should be taught to avoid Religious favoritism.

Are you implying, then, that there is power above God? That God was controlled or influenced in some way by something above Himself?

    2. The radical left are ideologues who hate and will complain about Donald Trump no matter what he does. They may even make something up, like when they said he ignored a child in a wheelchair that was trying to shake his hand.

    3. It is a thing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_education

    5. Fascism is commonly placed as synonymous with authoritarianism and is often used against highly regulative governments and political correctness.

    6. But, really? How many of them are there? You know, I'd like to see a flat-Earther taken up to the International Space Station to be shown the error of their ways.

    7. You can control how much you consume. That's not the government's fault. Are you associating all deaths in the first and possibly the second world's is capitalism's fault?
Sure, it's capitalism's fault when commit suicide, because you bought the rope or gun.
It's capitalism's fault when you die of a heart attack, because you always bought unhealthy foods.
It's capitalism's fault when you died of a chainsaw accident, because you improperly used it.

    8. Yeah, I had a feeling I should've explained more, because you'd take it absolutely literally. I don't know if God spoke to her literally, but often when God speaks to us, it's more of a feeling, rather than speech.

    9. So, they think we should be killing gays, adulterers/adultresses, and such? That's nice. They're not the true Christians when they're not paying attention to passages that say "Jesus came to fulfill the law" and "The law is a curse upon us".

    10. Sanders would be deemed a traitor if he was in the pocket of Wall Street.

    11. I never drink alcohol at all. Never have. Never will.

Lol, you need to change the font color for those who use the dark theme, like me.

Yes. Gehenna Beam is a sadistic, evil wizard. His name basically means "hellish smile".
If you think the King James Version the one to go to, fine, but I'll stick to my New American Standard Bible.
You should know that no English version on the market is distorted enough that the essential truths necessary to know for salvation (which truths we have come to know from reading the best translations) cannot shine through to the individual reading an inferior translation.
Many Souls have been saved by the Word as presented in the King James Version. Many Souls have been saved by the Word presented in other versions of the Bible. Doctrine is to be established by only literal Translations. Paraphrase versions of the Bible are fine for "Quiet Time" reading. Teaching and Preaching should use only Literal Translations.

My hair's not long enough. My grandfather is a sober alcoholic. What if I have the addiction gene? As Donald Trump once said, "If you don't start, you won't have a problem." So, I'll just stay away from it entirely.

No. What I got from you saying "the reasons for God's decisions come from outside of Himself" was mankind. We are not above God, but I believe we did influence Him to establish the law.

The modern ''Bible (per)versions are damning more souls to hell than the evolution theory could ever accomplish.

Besides that the NASB says that God can be deceived, it also makes the Lord Jesus Christ a sinner. And if Jesus is a sinner then the atonement is void. Look up Matthew 5:22 in your NASB and search for the words ''without a cause''. To help you out, they aren't there. Jesus got angry with his brethren (Mark 3:5 KJV), which would make Jesus a sinner according to the NASB. Also, look up John 7:8 in your NASB. The words ''not yet'' are missing. That would make the Lord Jesus Christ a liar, because he did go up to the feast.

I have a question for you @Gehenna_Beam . Do you believe any Bible/manuscript in any language is the complete, infallible word of God for us today? If yes, can you name a copy so I can compare it with my KJV? If no, will you admit it?
