    Hey everyone, quick thread today.

    Recently some new players brought that player names should be hidden, I'm not sure what to think about that, so I let you guys give opinions and arguments. What do you think?

    I think this would be good for people that like to hide, and it wouldn't affect the hunters much since the game has a tracker, +1.

    You don't even play BR anymore, you said it yourself, besides like I said, there is the player tracker.

    lekosa1 over took me on ldb so ill be back :smile:, also i doubt the tracker is accurate enough to clearly tell you somebody is whereever

    I think name tags should stay. It wouldn't be much fun to run across the map and get killed by someone standing around the corner. I'm not saying that this can't happen even with name tags, but it would happen a lot more without name tags.

    That's what I was also thinking. I think if we disable name tags a good way to balance it would be to make a more precise compass, for example it could indicate how far the player is by 10, 20 blocks slices.

    Not sure if that makes really sense, so, e.g:
    "The nearest player is about 40 blocks away!"
    "The nearest player is about 80 blocks away!"

    Mayland and 19kss have said the same thing, but shifting literally hides name tags so you could still get shot by a guy hiding in a corner with name tags as they are now.

    No name tags will encourage camping a corner, but also if you see someone's name tag running and jumping you know they are in the open or unaware you are their, so you can act accordingly. Without name tags you would have to proceed really slowly, as you have no idea if the enemy knows you are their. It kinda makes the game less strategic and less interesting.

    Removing nametags would make the game a lot more realistic and probably a lot more tense when you don't know exactly where the other person is.

    The problem with it is that it would make it a lot easier for someone to use xray and benefit a lot more from it, especially because no one without xray would have no indicator of the exact location of people, whereas xrayers would have way too much knowledge.

    It would probably be the best for nametags to stay in the game. Although there are trackers, this would turn into hide and seek.
