If there is no evidence of the supernatural, why is ~85% of the world religious?
~15% of the world is atheistic, agnostic, or simply nonreligious. Among that group includes people who do believe in God or other supernatural forces but do not worship or anything like that. So, true atheism maybe less than or slightly above 10%. So, you guys are a very small minority.

Again, how can we know that the 85% of the world doesn't believe in something wrong? The percentage of the people, majority either minority, make no difference.

cus people like you cling to your beliefs to help you through your daily lives. religious people like spreading their beliefs and shoving them down other peoples throats which creates more believers (the creation of this thread) . keep in mind no matter what u say, there is still no proof. blind faith

and whats your point of saying we are the minority? how does that prove u right? ur saying just cus its the minority, we are incorrect?

edit: refer back to my previous post

Well, the way I see it, there are several answers:

    - There's a God who created everything and loves everyone. This God became human and sacrificed Himself in humanities place, as humanity is evil and irredeemable. Only by believing in this God and His sacrifice can you join Him in His domain, when you die. Otherwise, you go to a place of suffering for your crimes on Earth.

    - There's a god who created everything and loves those who believe in him but doesn't love everyone else. You must work hard and pray to this god constantly. Stepping out of line could cost you. You may have to combat nonbelievers and those who step out of line. When you die, you could go to a paradise or a place of suffering.

    - There are several gods who probably created the universe, and they probably don't always get along with each other. Depending on whether you were good or bad, when you die you could go to a paradise or a place of suffering or be reborn in a better life or a worse one.

    - There are no gods, but there is the energy and flow of the universe, and depending on whether you were good or bad, when you die you are reborn in a better life or a worse one.

    - There are no gods or any supernatural forces, and we're all just a happenstance where nothing matters. When we die, that's it. Nothing else. It's like before you were born.
I'm just pointing out that most people don't believe that all this just happened. We have a universal meaning to our existence.

You say it as if we need something. You say it as if nothing is not special. Well you are right about the second one. I don't expect anything after death. Just the status I was before birth. Nothingness. I prefer this than believing in something that doesn't exist.

I am not afraid of nothingness. I won't feel fear.

We can make our own meaning. By that I mean, find the joy in your life by doing whatever pleads you. Just live it. You've got ~75 years in front of you.

OK. I'm done with this. You guys are depressing. No, you're not pulling me into your beliefs. Heck, you would probably regret that.
I've made the point before that I would be a complete, existential nihilist if I stopped believing in God. Therefore, I'd make you guys look religious. You've said we make own meaning in life. I've said that's a weak excuse.
Anyway, I should've been done with this a long time ago. I've tried to provide the message, but you guys are too filled with sin to even think about it for a second. It's like throwing a ball at a brick wall. It just bounces right off. The only thing I can do now is pray for a miracle that something dramatic will happen in your lives so that you'll see the light.
I don't hate you guys. If I did, I wouldn't participate in this and just let you guys wallow in your self-indulgence. It's just so frustrating seeing people destroy themselves.
God has blessed you all. You just need to see it. It's not impossible for a hardcore atheist to become a born-again believer in Jesus. It's happened before.

Yes you have made the point that you'd be a nihilist if you stopped believing in God. And my stance on this has always been: it doesn't fking matter. The truth is not dependent on how you feel. I don't want to say "I don't care" that you'd be a complete existential nihilist if you became atheist, but tbh it's completely irrelevant. Saying "I don't like the truth" isn't an argument against the truth, it just reveals something about yourself.

And after this comes another piece of circular logic "you're too filled with sin to listen to me". Well obviously we don't believe in "sin" in the same way you do, we'd have to believe you to believe in sin. Also can you consider that maybe we're not atheist because we're sinful people who hate God? Maybe we're not like you, we don't decide what's real based on our feelings? If I loved God with all my heart but there still wasn't any evidence of him, I still wouldn't believe him. Our feelings are irrelevant to the truth of God and you still haven't given any evidence. In fact you've switched many many times between "there is no evidence because Satan destroyed it or some sht" and "there is evidence but ur not listening". Heh, I like the way you describe us as a brick wall. Totally...not....hypocritical...

I personally think it's frustrating seeing what should be a reasonable person (I'm pretty sure that without religion you be at least average intelligence and probably higher) be reduced to a pile of nonsense because YOU THINK FEELINGS DETERMINE THE TRUTH AND HAVE NO INTEREST IN REALITY. As much fun as the debate is, it really makes me sad. It's like you don't care what's real, as long as you've got your little crazy club. To use a film metaphor, you're in the Matrix and it's like we're offering you the red pill to see that it's not real but you don't care. You're happy being hooked up to the machine while flying robots harvest you...or something... I haven't actually seen the movie in a long time.

I guess my point is that I'll never understand your reckless disregard for reality and evidence that goes against your deeply-held beliefs. If the entire world was like you there would be no internet, no cars, no industrialization or modernization because you're not interested in scientific progress that actually helps people, you're only interested in your goddamn little book that was written 2,000 years ago by some guys who probably had no fking idea what they were about to create. ****.

After 73 pages of Religious - Non-religious debates, the war has finally came to an end.
But who knows, it might be an "atomic bomb" away to be lit up again.
