Killing Sheriffs

Your so right, someone said they got like 20k bounty from 3 sheriff fights and 750 bounty for hitting a sheriff, that's crazy.

 

I mean you're shooting the law enforcement my man.

 

This and the reward of 5k.

 

Then gang gang gonna stand for the consequenses.

I don't think this is over the top if I'm honest. You are attacking the police as people have stated and you get a solid 5k reward for your efforts. I personally don't see it as a big problem.

 

I haven't been on in a while but if it is still going on where players are fighting the sheriffs more than each other, it does seem like a big punishment. The risk > Reward. Which it should be but the gap was a little bit big.

Actually it is. Its more of a problem when you are a good player, because then you are surviving and killing MANY sheriffs. This gives a ton more bounty to the players who are good. When we die, we have to either pay 20-30k just to get out of prison, and another 35k to get gear, or to wait an hour or so to mine out of prison and by then the fight is over.

A 5k sheriff head really isn't worth it considering that a sheriff has nothing to lose and will play much more recklessly. A bandit (on average) will cost around 45-50k if they die to a sheriff.

 

Anything more than 5k will crash the economy even more. Plus you get lots of ammo from a sheriff kill which can't be a bad thing. Maybe something you can do in-game to lower your bounty count while not in prison. Making cutting trees lower bounty for example.

 

We don't want to promote cutting trees because that's basicly promoting the most booring thing in excistance.

 

Mining is the alternative and that doesn't get me excited either.

 

Did I say we want to promote that? no? Hell naw. We wan't to promote drug runs and indian camp raids.

 

Decrease the drug processing time and increase the rare loot in indian camps.

 

4k bounty for a 5k reward is fine,if you don't get killed your bounty will drop back lower, and often sheriffs are not 100-0'd by just one person's bullets, spreading that 4k bounty out over multiple people.

The real issue with bounties is that the more times you hit them, the more bounty you get.

So if you have the best most expensive guns, you get less bounty than if you have cheaper guns or have to melee (melee doesn't really apply to sheriff discussion though).

Its a system that puts poorer players in jail for longer than richer players, its been suggested to fix it, no seems to know how to or want to take the dev time to code it yet.
