Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? – Nope, only English


What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl? – Brawl has been an extremely long run for me. It all started when I joined War 2013. I quickly became addicted and went over to my friend’s house and we soon started to play mc-war together. We played throughout the summer of 2013 and got up to the level of 40. I continued to play and so did my friend but our interests gradually changed. One-day War was down and so we were bored and tried out warz. At first my friend loved it, but me not so much. The next day war is still down and so we tried out warz again. I soon loved it and thus began my love for warz.


2014 comes and I am starting to play warz quite actively. Many times, this would mean going over to friend’s houses just to play warz with them. Even if it meant I had to play on a bad laptop. At first, we didn’t think to get diamond and barrettes was possible. There was a desert zone 3 and it offered iron. We soon ran to this place almost every day. Then another day came and we found the airfield which is a zone 5. Although it didn’t offer diamond, back then people would come from snow with their best gear. It was always fun to find someone at airfield and have a fight with them. Around the end of 2014 my friends started to play other games. I stayed with the game mode because it was still so much fun and I had yet to learn combos.


In 2015 I was starting to play warz alone, as my friends faded out and played other games. I met one of my best friends named ski129. We both were absolute noobs but we still had a love for the game mode. We would always run to nether, even though we didn’t have any ranks. It was fun to loot for hours and end up getting fresh full d and running away. I remember so many fights that occurred because now we still could somewhat fight. It was fun to observe the amount of loot we had. We wouldn’t log out until we die, we never thought to switch servers and get alive on more than one.


Finally, 2016 comes, I took a massive break during the school year, but always came back for the summer. This is when I really learned how to combo and it was hugely fun. Around this time though warz was having an influx of hackers. Every warz player should remember this time as if you got on there would be at least 1 hacker on. It got so bad that sometimes people would get on alts to speed hack you if you killed them. This is not the reason I am applying though, I want to help this server as I have some beneficial ideas for it and have a vast knowledge of the game mode. I got a little off topic here, but I feel as if that should be stated here. The end of 2016 comes, I am good at combos and still enjoyed what the game mode had to offer.


Present day 2017 comes and warz has been a roller coaster of emotions. Some say it is dead, others disagree. I do not believe it is dead. It remains to host an abundant number of players who still wildly enjoy the game mode. Although it doesn’t have as many people during the week because of school, it is still fun to play on the weekends. Currently, I have about 3 advanced classes along with 2 science classes. I can’t forget about cross country, but I still manage to play actively throughout the week (at least an hour). Me having staff will NOT interfere with my school as have good grades.



What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? – I have never been a mod on a server.

Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl? – I want to become moderator on brawl because I have extremely interesting ideas that I want to implement into the game mode to make it more enjoyable. This might include editing a certain part of the map each month to have a rotating part of the map that features something new each month. I also have ideas about the friend's list and how we could make the game more enjoyable for new players. Many might ask “Why don’t you create a thread about these ideas then?” Well, this is an interesting question as even though I might make a thread there is no promise a mod will push the idea further. Once you have mod you can have much more of an influence especially if you want to add ideas like the ones stated above. Let’s be honest, the current state of warz will decline if nothing happens to change it. This doesn’t mean that we should change how the whole game-mode works, we need to add new things to keep players on the server. Hackers aren’t that big of a problem currently, at least for me, we need to focus on making warz interesting for its active players. I truly want to help this game mode and wish you will consider all my reasons.

What do you consider your greatest strength? – My greatest strength is my perseverance. This can be proven by my work ethics to achieve warz moderator. I would not be applying again if I did not fully think I was ready for mod. This is not being “entitled” as some may say as I am confident. There are differences between both and confidence should not be mistaken for entitlement. My preservice is by far the best aspect of me. My goal in Calculus 2 is to get an A. I will do everything in my power to get an A even though that class is the hardest class I will ever take. Confidence and perseverance go hand-and-hand. You must have the confidence to have perseverance. Many people I know comment on how well I stick to goals. Last year I had the unfortunate event of receiving a C at the start of the year. This was unacceptable and so I worked hard and stuck to my goal to make that an A. Instead of my grade-book displaying AP English II: C, it said AP English II: A



What do you consider your greatest weakness? – My greatest weakness is probably my trust. You may think this is a strength but let me explain why this is not one of my strengths and actually a weakness. I trust what most people say, which can lead to people taking advantage of me. One example was how I trusted what I thought of as a friend with one of my ps4 games. I requested it back and proceeded to start ignoring me. Then the unthinkable happened and he moved. He was moving and never told me. We have never talked since but I thought we were friends. It was quite upsetting and a wakeup call for me that many times people can be manipulative. Although this is a weakness, it will not affect how I moderate. I have worked on this weakness and I am not as ready to believe at first thought. Once you observe a situation it is easy to learn if they are using you or lying, thus it cannot affect moderating skills.



Which Brawl server(s) are you most active on? – Warz as I spend up to 4 hours on the weekends and about an hour during the week.

Anything else you would like to state? – (This part doesn’t change as it needs to be addressed). For this final part I would like to talk about my voice. I won’t get too much into detail, but yes, I am 16. I do not sound like it, but I can easily prove my age if it comes into question. It’s quite embarrassing, but I have been dealing with it all my life.

Well, I feel like when you are not a moderator your ideas are less likey to be pursued. It was just one of my reasons for becoming mod, but I felt it should be stated.

That was a reason I wanted to become a mod. It was not an excuse for not posting the ideas. I posted those ideas in various threads already throughout the warz forum. Also as Hitchens said, my forums activity is the same as many other staff.
