Can we make this bannable

because it was never updated and infect was broken. nobody cared about capping a flag. In fact, it was discouraged cuz everyone wants more kills. arguing that old war died cuz of this reason is ridiculous.

Until they "fix" it(if they do) how bout not telling other people how to play the game because tbh nobody cares about some random kid on the internet telling them to cap a flag. it's annoying and the resulting flame on the chat is worse than not capping the flag(something not too many people care about)

 

I see how it can be seen as a troll and very annoying, but if he has the confidence to kill a lot of people while holding the flag that's his choice, but holding the flag and not doing anything can kinda be annoying. People mainly do this so that noobs don't rush the flag and end the game. Even in legacy war they held onto the flag so they can play the FULL match.

In all seriousness though, if you really wanted to, you could consider holding the flag part of the objective. If you hold the flag, the other team cannot capture. This strategy is enacted in many games that have the CTF gamemode. So technically, he is following the objective. That could be his defense, and if he were punished for it, it would be wrong due to the fact that he is perfectly within the boundaries of the objective. It just depends if the staff are willing to ignore the fine line and punish people who do this anyways. Sure, it's not the common way people think of completing the objective, but it definitely is. Yea, it's annoying to people who don't agree with it, and just want to win the game. I've found myself getting more XP from just killing people rather than following the objective, but it might differ at times depending on a number of variables such as people, the gamemode, the person particular skill level, and the opposing team's skill level. Either way, in this clip shod is technically killing AND following the objective by preventing the other team from capping. Adding a fair deterrent like poison or despawning when the flag is held too long would work just fine. However, punishing people for this or denying credit/xp gain would be a premature action in which the person doing this isn't thinking about this entirely from all viewpoints, etc. Either that, or they just don't care. Whichever works for them.

if you actually watched the video you can see in MANY SITUATIONS that shod's flag was recovered (MOST OF THE TIME BY HIM), and he had multiple opportunities to capture it

and yet he didn't. don't play it off as a "strategy" when he has less game sense than a fish

 

I'm not talking about capturing it. Part of the objective is to prevent the other team from doing so. That's exactly what he is doing by keeping the flag to himself. He just gets the added bonus of more kills with completing the objective. Did you not understand what I said...? You probably just don't care.

Prolong the game to get more kills, end the game quickly it's all fine because in the end this is a game. Learn to take things less seriously, especially this. Stressing over this trivial matter of capturing a flag in mine craft is a waste of your time. Work on college apps or get a job.
