Without any development on HG obviously its going to remain at the bottom of the goddamn hill. The way HG is now, it will never be popular again. SimpleHG has dominated the SoupHG department, and they have constant development. If Brawl's HG goes in a different direction, it can attract a different community, and become popular again

HG is like a rotten shed. Either get rid of it or completely get a new gamemode otherwise you'll have more players meming it than actually playing it.

HG is more of a special event for the server it seems :/

 

I feel like if you added an HCF feel to it you might get a lot of success. Majority of the soup players left for pot, so best chance is to try and blend in to the rest of the community. I'm not saying like rip off minehq, velt, arcane, etc but like sorta switch the target playerbase to the audience.

 

How would HG get a HCF feel?

 

Tbh idk, I've never actually played a full map of HCF myself nor do I understand the full complexity of it because I'm too **** to actually make it anyway decent within a map. but I feel like a more pot like feel maybe? I'm probably gonna get hate for this but currently pot is where it's at. I'm not saying soup is dead because SkylandKits was a huge success and probably did better at there opening then like velt did at the first map idk, still. Point is that we have to find a way to somehow make it more attractive for the entire player base, and the vast majority of minemen are highly skilled in the potion department (jokes on them cause it's easier then soup ahaha) and would probably just get discouraged or something. Then again the nostalgia could be a high selling point cause a lot of the oldies remember mcpvp and want to revive it. Maybe idk

 

I've played both SoupHCF, PotHCF and NoHealHCF. All 3 of these are in NO way comparable to HG. If you remember Kohi's PotSG - that was utter trash and was based (in a way) on the Hunger Games.
HG actually had a lot of players yesterday for instance after @Miskey streamed with about 15 viewers (no offense). HG is not dead - we just need to treat it (slightly) differently.

 

What do you suggest as "differently"
