Idea 13000-15000 blocks out

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not but maybe it's ok for people like you who have a lot of time to play this server.

 

Not really considering 5 stacks of obby would only make a small tracker.

 

Tracking full-map on a 20k map could take up to 9.5 dubs of obsidian.

This would take you at least 26 hours to mine, with an efficiency 5 pick.
Then you gotta travel to the trackers.
Then you gotta mine out the trackers.
Then you gotta place the 9.5 dubs.

 

Imagine sitting there contemplating your unique existence while holding leftclick and breaking something with a large pickaxe made of carbon

Ok so can you play explain why the map needs to be bigger. Currently you are portraying at more of a nuisance than a good idea.

 

When you have a 20k map, tracking without a rank would be really hard. With the current 12k map it's easier for everyone to afford trackers, and people have enough warps to set up their full-maps, without a rank.

A common full-map tracker setup is with two trackers, located in the opposite quadrants. In a 20k map these trackers would be very hard to make, and they would look like this:

Fullmap-tracking shouldn't be something people have to pay for, and this is why a 12k map is better than a 20k map.

 

1. Everything that's found outside of the barrier, can be found inside of the barrier. I would suggest that you don't travel against the barrier.
2. Why is a 13k map better than a 12k map? The difference is small to none, if you're not tracking.

 

Buy 2 6-hour boosters, deploy them, and mine the obby in half the time...

 

Bigger Map = More Required Memory = More Lag = More "buy another host" threads which we can't afford. Plus, you can already find all the minerals needed.

 

Technically more memory would only be needed if more chunks were loaded at once (more players) - Larger map would use more storage rather than memory (assuming same player counts)

Too small for what? What does adding that extra distance actually gain other than making full map trackers more difficult to make (especially for less experience players)
12k map has:
- All the biomes (usually multiple of the rare ones, for example I know of 3 mooshroom islands in the current map)
- Enough ores to last a lifetime
- Enough space for everyone to make bases without being close to another - With a 12k radius map (24k x 24k) there are 14,400 200 x 200 block spaces available. Now of course players aren't going to build there bases each in a separate 200 x 200 quadrant but that just shows how much space there actually is, and thats only in 1 dimension.
