/kick perms for Wiki, Build, Media team members on discord

    Sometimes people are flaming/spamming cancer on discord and trying to find one staff member to take care of it, which can take up to a while, is annoying. Wiki, build, and media team are already trusted to do stuff on Brawl which could be easily abused (but generally hasn't). Being able to kick people from discord when they're being a nuisance would make it easier to resolve problems without having to bug mods who are usually doing something else.

    Thoughts?

    if you want /kick just apply for jmod.. literally the only useful thing they get is that.

    Personally, if you get these notifications you can just mute notifications. instead of kicking people maybe you can server mute them if they are a REAL nuisance only under the condition if they are speaking in a channel. if it is in text chat instead of voice chat, then idk. You can also apply for JMOD just as @DeKrah said.

    The duty of a jmod is to handle chat offenses. That isn't the build, wiki, or media team's job and if we allow them the permissions, what is separating jmods from the other teams?

    jmods have /kick /mute and /ban (temporary) in game plus perms on discord and ts. giving teams /kick on discord does not make jmod pointless.

    If you want stuff to get done, please PM me on discord - I know it could take a while like you said, but its what you have to do. Messaging any online staff should work if you want to care enough to get it done.

    Giving those perms to you guys isn't the best option, although its not a bad idea. We have staff members for a reason, and if you care enough to try to change things I'd apply for staff and help out :wink:

    Lies. Maybe for you it was but when I was jmod, I got 10x as many mutes than kicks. You were a kit jmod so dont be biased :S
    (It was helpful for oom people though /shrug)

    Well if more jmods used discord or if it didn't take half an hour or more for someone to deal with a bunch of crap on discord (sometimes for no fault of their own) then I wouldn't have made this thread. And speaking of apps, why would I apply when I barely play on Brawl let alone minecraft in general? I just want a much easier way to deal with people who are being a nuisance on discord without having to spam staff such as yourself, hitchens, tom, gamren, chilled etc. because no one is online or if they are online they don't respond to PMs

    Right and that's what I do. I suggested this so that doesn't nessecarily have to happen because right now, getting messages deleted let alone someone kicked/banned takes much longer than it should. What you seem to be saying is that that's OK rather than running the risk of giving wiki/build/media team members one perm when almost none of those members has ever abused their position

    Have you tried muting notifications on discord for this channel. I think this will solve it a bit. Unless you are viewing the Brawl discord 24/7.

    I have my settings on do not disturb so I don't get a noise notification. And no, I'm not going to mute a bunch of channels that I chat in because some people are toxic

    wdym channels? Within one server or all your servers you chat in. Because if the people are a nuisance on brawl you can mute the entire server.

    Force them to be active then if you don't want people to ask for the kick permission.
    I've cheated on War for 2 hours straight on Saturday and Sunday and I've not been banned.
