Schematic Database

Ey everyone, a new addition has been made possible by the wonderful @chickenputty

We have just completed and released the brand new schematic database for MinecraftBuild!

What's the schematic database you may ask? Well, it's a menu with a large array of different pre-created structures and assets made by the build team and a few players of the community! The range of structures you may use go from large houses to road plans to statues.

"How do I use it though?"
Well, I'll show you!

When you spawn into your world, your 8th slot will have an enchanted book named as, "Build Assets"


When right clicked, it will open a menu where you can select builds from 4 different categories. These are composed of:
Buildings
Miscellaneous
Organics
Transportation


Once one is selected, you will be presented to another menu that contains schematics all associated with the selected category.

Once clicked, you may be able to paste the schematic with //paste. To paste without air, use //paste -a
You may also open the schematic menu with /assets.

The asset book is available to everyone and can be used at any time! Creations from this book may also be used in projects like gamemode maps or contest submissions. The book may also be periodically updated with new schematics so keep a sharp eye out!

I'm happy that this has finally been added and hope everyone finds use in it and inspires many people to create new and wonderful things. Also, credit for this amazing concept goes to @rhoske. Glad I could make it happen buddy!

It won't be updated "regularly" but I promise I will update it once a good array of new (applicable) structures are made for it every now and then. I won't just add 5-10 structures at a time, it will be a much larger amount.

 

I brought this up when discussing this entire ordeal along with people being able to upload their own schematics for others to use aswell but I'm not entirely sure if that's possible with the current plugin we're using for this.
Things are most likely going to change for the database in the future so only time will tell.

 

The database is to provide inspiration to players by showing them a large variety of different structures and to "somewhat" improve overall build quality of the server. It also serves as a useful tool for rpers (which does make up a large portion of the playerbase) which encourages them to keep making more and inevitably, keeping them on the server longer.
