Idea Remove Team Switching For MVP's

You can only switch teams if the team you're switching on has less players. The reason there are situations with 5 vs 12 is because the people against the pros usually quit and thus there's a player gap. Any player joining the match will always be put on the team with less players. Basically I'm trying to say that you can switch teams even if you have no rank because the game will place you on the team with less players. Using /switch is actually the worse option, since it gives you a death.

Honestly I think /switch is pretty retarded, but seems like Brawl's using it to milk money from players so that's always good.

 

It's known that some MVPs abuse the /switch feature. If they don't get teamed up with high level and skilled players they switch over. In my opinio this needs a rework aswell as a rework is needed on the team matching (So that high skilled players don't get teamed up together all in one team against new players)

 

It's actually not a stupid feature. But if you remove it, all the good extra things are only available for ELITE or higher. The only thing that MVP have now is Fly in lobby (Actually useless in my opinion so I don't count that), some extra XP, faster respawning. For the rest there are no special features that make people decide to buy MVP. So If you remove it, there is almost nothing left for the MVP's on War.

 

I agree that there is some problem with team switching, however I also agree with jelledk2000 that removing the feature would give no good reason to buy MVP. I think that if the switching was limited to once per game only, as I have seen games where player have switched up to 4 times to be on the team which is winning. Also I think time where switching is available should be shortened, from 3 minutes to 2, or even 1. Also if the teams have an even amount of players, switching is still available, meaning one player switching changes the count from 11-11 for example to 12-10, to gain a number advantage.

 

That sounds like it could work too, but then could it become a way for people to erase the scores which aren't very good.

 

This. The only reason you would use /switch is to be on the team with better players, or to even the teams out, which can be done with /spectate. This begs the question: What purpose does /switch even play? You can already use /spectate to switch teams the same way /switch does. It's practically just a renamed feature slapped onto MVP as a gimmick to make more money, but hey, making money is good. I'd rather have a useless command that hardly affects me than no Brawl to play on. 90% of the problems that will occur with /switch, will occur with /spectate. There's very little that can be done to fix this issue, or make the command worth it, that won't affect /spectate in some shape or form, because they are both pretty much the same command. The same patch-up work would have to be applied to both to solve any problem. I'd hate to say this, but unless you bought MVP purely to support the server, you've been duped with /switch. Sorry guys. At least there's plenty of other worthwhile perks on War for the donator ranks like dominating the level and credit leaderboards unwaveringly, being one of the only people in the entire match to be able to use grenades on infect, or prestiging and unlocking better gear faster/easier than lower ranks.

So to keep it clear,

I think the best way to solve this problem is by making the /switch command only can be used once in a game. It should still be available so it's more interesting to buy MVP or other rank. But it still have to give you a death. I also like it when I play with friends I can join their team (or they can join mine).

I've seen some people do that. They switch, playing bad again and going back... So it happens sometimes

Again, /spectate exists. Limiting anything to do with /switch will have zero impact unless you limit /spectate because you can just do the same thing. Even if you do that, there will be absolutely no change because you can just simply relog.

 

Not everyone buys ranks just for this specific ability lol... Alot of people seem to thing this is the case. I bought my rank 4 years ago and I know a lot of people that have bought ranks a long time ago and its not specifically for this /switch.
