Real Time Translation Mod

Hey there!

I’d like to present to the community and to the staff team a very helpful and handy mod that works with Minecraft Forge. The mod revolves around the issue of translation and the language barrier. It’s free and you can download and get more information about it here.

We all know that there are quite enough different languages spoken in the server. With the help of the mod you can understand what other people say.

It’s a real-time-translation mod, thus the name, which can be configured to translate any given message to the chosen language. It is capable of translating all the languages Minecraft includes with some extra ones. It works decently and it does better in grammar than Google Translate.

Another useful feature of this mod is translating your own messages to another language.

Spoiler: Guide

First off, you need to install Minecraft Forge. It is necessary for any mod you download for Minecraft.
Move on to downloading the Real Time Translator mod. You need to download the mod in the same version as the Forge version.
When launching Minecraft select the Forge version. When Minecraft opens, join the server.
Use the “Y” key to access the GUI. It has a variety of features.
Go to Settings: Now follow me:

• I’d suggest keeping Chat Regex and Error logging level on their default settings.
• Translate language (Chat): set this to the language you want others’ messages to be translated to.
• Translate messages from: set this to the language you will translate your own messages from.
• Translate messages to: set this to the language you want your messages to be translated to.

Save and close.

Luckily, just checked, there is Scottish Gaelic.

 

Someone could as well code this or make a plugin but that would waste a lot of development time that could be used for better things.

We can always use the mod for now.
