So what I've noticed the other day is that bandits still think that sheriffs are too OP. We were fighting the other day and the sheriffs won after multiple rounds. But, the sheriffs won with cuffs. The bandits said that sheriff are too OP with their cuffs etc. I'd like to discus the sheriff bandit situation in here.

    My opinion:
I agree that sheriffs are a little too much. First of all I think that horse cuffing should't be a thing. Also cuffing in mid fight should be abuse, because you are fighting, not cuffing. I have to say that cuffs should't be deleted from the sheriff kit tho. The cuffs are part of the game.

I also would like to state that I don't want any flamewars or something. I just want to know your thoughts, and maybe we can sort something out.

    1. There are almost never sheriffs on at ~GMT time. 2. I don't think sheriffs are op against bandits with diamond armor and pots because that mostly seems like a fair fight.

But then again, when a sheriff is against a bandit who is in just a leather tunic. Then I can see that is not really fair but I wouldn't change the sheriff either.

Anti horse cuffing was suggested, but like with all suggestions, nothing happens with them.

Agree completely on pretty much all your points, however, there is something I would like to add. I think that there should be a change to ticketing and inspecting.
Currently you are not able to handcuff while combat tagged... but you can inspect and ticket XD. Should not be able to

Could not have stated it better!
@Fuiji go blackmail an smod and make horsecuffing demotable :V

On a more serious note, @chickenputty you could make this change very easily. There is a VAST majority of ww staff and ww community who all agree on the change, sheriffs and bandits alike, all you need to do is disable handcuffs while on a horse.

Among the numerous reasons a bandit vs sheriff fight is unfair, the most noticeable are the economic reasons. For example, a sheriff spends 0 money and exactly 4 minutes of their time to return to a fight, or 2 minutes and 9 seconds to tpa back to a fight (if they have a rank). A bandit spends a bare minimum of 30k on their gear and god knows how high of a bounty they will have when they die to a sheriff war (bounties are racked extremely high when you die/get cuffed by a sheriff) an average one is about 30-60k during the recent sheriff wars that I have seen. Then they must regear for another 30k and come back on horse/tpa back. So all in all it takes about 100-120k simply to return to a fight as a bandit against sheriffs.
    All for a 5k head.

Making it demotable would be dumb, I meant that cuffs wouldn't work on a horse.

    Agreed 100%

I am already trying, right @Eil

The issue is that this only kind of solves the issue. People could still hop off the horse and cuff. I think there is a better solution to this. Just make it so guns should be used over cuffs.

It is simpler to change the handbook than the code.

This gamemode will be doomed anyway if no one is going to code for it.

I agree with this, rn the handbook says "Use cuffs over guns" but that just kills the playerbase, I do it myself tho :/

IMO getting cuffed can be prevented easily if you pay the least bit of attention (unlike me :stuck_out_tongue:) and combat tag them with a shotgun. For the rest they are pretty much full d's without saweds.

It's diffrent when a sheriff is riding on a horse or camping in a corner waiting for some1 to get in the room and sneak cuff him. It's almost imposible to not get cuffed in those situations.

I know, but that's kinda the point isn't it? I don't see why people get mad when getting cuffed.

It is frustrating when someone is KOS and is cuffed, which btw means "KILL ON SIGHT" (not COS/CUFF ON SIGHT), or when there is a big sheriff VS bandit war and you have 5 bandits and 5 sheriffs fighting (like yesterday) then one person, @AnonymousGalaxy comes on horse while everyone else is fighting and doesn't even attempt to shoot his guns and horse cuffs people from behind while his fellow sheriffs are having a gun war.
It is extremely hard to prevent this from happening.

Yeah i guess so. I mean it would help to nerf horse cuffing.

There's an obvious reason why horse cuffing hasn't been removed lol

Yes it is indeed anoying. Although ano wasn't the only cuffer. It's too OP when you horse cuff and it has to be deleted/abuse

Not every staff is a sheriff
