    Maybe it would be nice to get a sort of quest system. Where you would go to a town and there would be a NPC and you could do quests like travel a total of 10KM (10000) blocks, process 200 tobacco or kill 30 Indians. That kind of stuff where you would also get a sort of “reputation” of the NPC to earn more gold or get better items.

    Just an Idea I would like what you guys think about it.

    Well there is already /achievements which is kind of like quests

    Achievements are already in the game and work similarly. They include:
    Processing drugs
    Killing players
    Killing sheriffs
    Mining
    Time played
    and more
    Each achievement has certain levels; for instance, if you mine 100 ores you're rewarded with 1000g. The next level for this achievement would be something like 500 ores and you're rewarded 5000g. (this is of course an example)
    This goes for every achievement, and the reward is based off of difficulty. If you would like to check completed or achievements in progress, you can do /achievements. I think this covers everything, but I definitely could have left something out.

    What @Jessedz is suggesting, is that we have an NPC with renewable random quests that are to be completed (daily, weekly) with gold prizes. This would be an alternative and less boring way to make money. Nobody even knows about the /achievements command, and half of them are extremely difficult to finish with very small rewards. They are also one time rewards. People like Famouz, @Pyrotheum @PoixMine have been playing the game much longer than others and have all their achievements completed many ages ago. The quests idea would make things more interesting for all to play. Perhaps this could even start the way to making players stay for more than just fights.
    Excellent idea, with a couple modifications this should be a great addition to wildwest.

    no there is just a popular plugin that has quests and basically everything what meep just said is in the plugin. I forgot what it was called probably like NPC+ or something like that.

    I'd only be up for quests if these quests were interesting. The idea of giving players an objective to fulfil every day is great for player retention, but I wouldn't want to see people coming on Wild West just to do their 'video game chores' if they don't actually enjoy the quests. The 3 quest ideas you presented wouldn't really interest me.

    Maybe make the quests interesting. I am not that creative to think up something but I do agree with you.

    The staff team would not only add three quest ideas that were given as spur of the moment suggestions to be a permanent addition to wildwest. Most likely, there would be threads and much discussion before any of this was actually put into effect. In fact, I would bet that @Fuiji and the other ww staff could come up with 10-20 easily. There are endless possibilities.
    If you want to talk about "video game chores" you are a moderator on HG, and that is Brawl's server that requires the most grinding and play time to simply unlock one out of many classes. Quests are certainly not a "chore" To most people. They are an objective to follow, and most importantly, a reason to play.
    Just as an example,
    1. Kill a player with a sword (reward=5k)
    2. Kill five players with a sword (reward= 20k)
    3. Kill a sheriff using a sword (reward= 10k)
    4. Travel 5k blocks (Reward 10k)
    5. Rob 5 conductors (Reward 20k)
    6. Sell a total of 1000 processed drugs (reward 10k)
    7. Kill 25 Indians (reward 5k)
    All ideas thought of in less than 5 minutes. There are endless ideas for quests that are simple and things that people may already do, but give them more of a reason to do these actions.

    I don't seem to recall saying that I don't want quests added. @Signatured might remember me asking if he was planning on adding quests while Wild West was still in beta testing, in fact, it was originally planned to be added as a future update. It's an idea that I've been interested in for a while, but the main thing that's held me off is that I just couldn't think of any quests which added new, interesting content.

    It's really, really easy to unlock kits on HG. Even now, when HG barely gets any players (let alone returning ones), there are still plenty of kits being bought with in-game credits. But that's besides the point: on HG, you actually play the game in order to grind and get kits. With these quests, you're forced to play with different play styles (such as killing a sheriff with a sword, travelling x amount of blocks, killing indians) even though you might not necessarily enjoy them.

    In other words, this quest system with the quests you have suggested would do nothing but give more rewards for stuff people already do (i.e, add absolutely no new content), or force people to play different play styles. This isn't exactly going to boost Wild West's player counts or improve the gamemode much in my opinion, and would certainly not be effective use of the very limited dev time we have.

    Again - I first asked devs to add quests over 2 years ago, back when I was still banned from the forums. It's not an idea I'm against, but it's an idea I can't think of a way to realistically implement it for it to be an interesting idea that adds new content. And so far, I haven't seen any suggestion which I think fulfils this criteria. I do think it's possible to do this, but again, so far, I can't think of (and haven't seen a suggestion) that does it well.

    It does not necessarily have to be something we "enjoy" it is a reason to play the game. If you go on wyncraft, do you really think that the player base will enjoy all the hours of grinding, the ridiculous amount of quests, and the repetitive slaughter in dungeons? No. They only like the reward. It is the reward that matters. They do hours of grinding and quests simply to get to level 100 or buy that new cosmetic they want or armor. They want the rewards, not many care about the process of getting to it. As long as its a different process, it will retain a player base.
    Any quest, no matter WHAT it is, is more interesting and fun than processing. Quests would be the most interesting way to make money on the server besides killing sheriffs.

    PS: Wyncraft is just a random example of this that I thought of while writing it, if you want more examples I can send you a very extensive list of examples in PMs.
