I think a reset would only be a short term solution, the people who were the richest before would probably become the richest again and the same teams would form, basicly making no real changes except for some numbers on their profiles.

It would not change too much in regards to that, however it would certainly give all the rich players a reason to play again. Especially if we were to have something like a reset 3 times a year. Then give a reward to the person with the best overall stats (something like that anyways).

Yes but I think there needs to be more than just a reset in order to give the old players a reason to play again, grinding isnt the most fun thing to do.

I understand, but I just see the reset as a quick solution to buy some time for more in depth updates besides the map + team cap updates.

If there will be a reset, will the horses you've purchased with money stay or dissapear?

An interesting question, however I'm not sure if that would be decided before the reset even takes place. Part of the reset would have to include deleting our horses, but perhaps the admins would make exceptions and give those horses which were purchased previously with IRL money back to those players. It would require proof of your purchases, but it could be doable. I'm not sure how likely it would be though, we probably should talk to @chickenputty about that one I think.
Not sure if the mods and community get a say in that...

ban all good players, so the bad players have a chance to get good gear.

Putty or rc1 said that it would be "nearly impossible" to differentiate between "store bought" and "bought with in-game currency" horses. Not too sure, but I definitely recall seing that.

I don't think it's unfair. Some items from previous maps on Raid were obtained through boosters, and their gamemode reset. Furthermore, premium items on War 1.0 were also lost when there was an update to 2.0, I think.

Anti-Rumor spreader here. I was staff during the time Pyro was demoted and least to say there were no DDoS threats. The source of these “rumors” is obviously retarded.

Getting on topic, I’ve been preaching that any economy changed implemented need to be followed with a reset to get an equal baseline. And instead of just throwing away the VERY ORIGINAL ECONOMY that player LOVED and sliding in a half-assed mistake-ridden good-for-nothing “patch” to “balance the game” which EVERYONE HATED, Brawl (specifically Roke and Mario) should have kept a record of the original economy.

Raid was reset a few times since Wild West was originally reset (Brawl not giving a ****? Idk you decide!) and that increased the playercounts almost instantaneously for a few weeks, giving Brawl the chance to make changes to keep those players for at least some time.

My question is, why can’t they do the same with Wild West?

Because raid is mainstream, wild west is not. As you previously said before parents probably don't think too well when they walk into their kids room and see them processing weed on minecraft.
