Autobans and a Temporary Fix

    - Logs are still available
    - Cheaters don't get banned while staff aren't on anyway
    - If a person wanted to closet cheat that bad, they'd bypass the anticheat better than a legit person (that is the point of a client, to bypass)

    I don't see how your point matters, no offense. The anticheat is purely meant to autoban the blatant players. Anyone trying to get around being banned wouldn't be cheating blatant enough for the anticheat to submit an actual valid ban.

    My entire reasoning for all these dotted lists are to show you that the rate at which players are rightfully banned will literally be no different with the autoban disabled for a handful of players. No effect comes out of this change except for the removal of a nuisance. Nothing but a benefit. If it was really a big deal to scrape up the few bit of players trying to closet cheat, then Brawl would spend their time wisely trying to develop a good anticheat. Hence "Temporary Fix" in the title. Perhaps Brawl might actually consider spending a minute or two adding something small yet good for the server if they can't work up the effort or cash for a big anticheat addition.

    That seems like way too much work when all you have to do is appeal if you get auto banned. Regarding the "cheaters don't get banned when staff aren't on", they would be kicked for the 12h, but not if they abused this trust system (which is worse for the majority of players than one getting kicked imo). Again, why is it so much effort to just appeal? Speed it up by pming a mod or such - it really shouldn't take that long. Your point about "they wouldn't be cheating blantently to even trigger the system" doesn't make sense in the context of my post. They could use whatever client they like if no staff were on and they didn't trigger autobans. You also failed to mention my point about there being conflicts about staff being biased about choosing trusted players, which is the largest concern I have with this.

    "Regular/trusted" > I put the slash for a reason. You don't really need someone's full trust in order to get a bypass to an autoban that isn't functional anyway. Also I don't see any bans on your profile, so why does your opinion matter?

    This will never be added. Simply appeal your autoban and it should be resolved in a timely manner. Problem solved.

    Writing something to debate on the forums is one thing, writing something to intentionally get a rise out of someone makes you look childish. Keep in mind that these are strangers, try to keep it on topic. There's no need to try and provoke someone just because their opinion doesn't agree with yours.
