Autobalancing system

    A lot off times when a team gets spawnkilled, pretty much everyone off that team leaves untill it's like a 10v3
    This makes the chance to not get spawnkilled anymore pretty low.

    So I thought off some autobalancing system, that just balances the teams so it's a 6v7 instead of a 10v3

    Let me know your thoughts on this.

    Remove /switch. Problem solved.

    /switch was the worst possible addition to mc-war. It completely threw any hope of a new player actually enjoying himself into the wind, and replicates the exact same issues we had in legacy. One side always has all the good players and they just farm on the other side. If a ranked player sees that his team has fewer players than the other team, poof :V Rip the teams only chance of winning.

    From use, I remember that /switch could only be used if the team you were going had less players that yours.

    You can only switch to teams with less players than your team, and after 3 minutes has passed since the game started, you cannot switch. Also, when joining a game you will always be placed on the team with less players.

    I do agree that it is a bit dumb, I never really switch cuz it's pretty lame imo. Probs switched only about 30 times.

    My wording was poor, what I meant by "fewer players" Was fewer experienced players. Having 20 people on one side and 5 gods on the other will encourage the ranked players to join the good people. This makes all matches one sided. There is no hope no matter how many players are on one side if the other is twice as skilled

    I think a system that auto-balanced the game after a little bit of time would be good for the server. Perhaps if the game detected an imbalance, it would announce in chat that a team auto-balance will occur. After a 5-10 second countdown, it would auto-balance the teams and add 1-2 minutes to the game's time to account for whatever unfair farming/progress that happened right before the auto-balance. If this does happen, it shouldn't just take away a certain amount of members from one team and throw it on the other, because that might cause a bulk of good players to just move to another team. It should add up the teams, split that total number in half, and then scramble players onto each team. I really think something like this might have a positive impact on the team balancing issue if implemented correctly.

    I completely agree. For the amount of members, the last gun server I played did this as well, and it worked fine. Though this didn't always help team balance in the sense of skill (or I'm just remembering poorly for always being put on the bad team), having equal numbers does make a game more enjoyable. I would like to mention though, there should be discussion about if switched players should keep their kills/deaths/assists/etc. I can only imagine how upsetting it would be to be switched and lose your awesome amount of kills or killstreak, so I personally think it should carry over so this doesn't happen. Thoughts?

    The only place this might become an issue is Team Deathmatch. If a good player was sitting there spawnkilling people and had 50+ kills, it would give whatever team they ended up on a major advantage. While I don't think the player should keep these cheap kills, especially if they are that high, there is an alternative. I think it would be just as good if everyone's score was reset, but the kills/credits that were earned were added to their account as the team scrambles, before the system resets their score. The player that got 50+ kills would have that score added to their total stats, but they would have to start over just like the rest of them. Although, if possible, it would be nice for this auto-balancing system to account for the average skill level of the current players, and scramble them accordingly. If that could happen, we wouldn't need to reset scores because the teams would be balanced and the underdogs would have a chance to come back.

    Just like ctf back when it wasn't Brawl property, I would randomly be switched from the blue team to the red team for autobalancing. Honestly, I think it would be a good idea for autoswitching. And also /switch should still be here. Cuz u know me.
