    Around half to two thirds of team games end up with one team completely spawn trapping the other, and then half of the spawn trapped team leaving. I have a simple solution. Make spawn protection last for it's entirety, no matter how many bullets are fired by the protected player. This way the players on the spawntrapped team will have a chance to kill a single member of the opposite team, without getting flanked by 200 bullets, the second their white hat disappears.
    This will:
    a) make games more fun and competitive for both teams
    b) not make 12v4 games, which are extremely unfair
    c) encourage bad players to stay on the server, because going 2-38 isn't very fun, it's the polar opposite.

    Spawn camping is typically caused by natural progression by one team up the map. If one team is better than the other and is able to push forwards, obviously they will eventually be pushed into their spawn and spawn camping will occur. This isn't to say that spawn camping is a good strategy that we should keep in the game, but the solution shouldn't punish those who spawn camp (which this solution does).

    In my opinion, we need dynamic spawns. When there's a lot of people dying in spawn, that team's spawn should change to a new one somewhere else around the map. Spawn camping will be limited and spawn campers won't be punished nearly as much as with this solution.

    I never really got why firing bullets got rid of your spawn protection, I mean if you fire bullets while still spawn protected you are not far from your own spawn at all,

    Although I do agree with SoCool spawnpoints on different places on the map would help too.

    Exactly, the only time a person fires bullets close to their spawn, is when they're spawntrapped. Which is when spawn protection is needed the most.

    Agree, giving the player protection while firing bullets would make it a lot easier to free the spawn from spawnkillers.

    Ice Bear says one of the problems is that players spawn one at a time while 5 people can spawn camp then as soon as they fire a shot they instantly die there should be a vote for an entire team respawn.

    I think just not removing spawn protection when you shoot would be a better solution imo

    Spawncamping has been an issue since war came out. Even before 2.0 was released in fact. Some ways we can fix this is possibly make players invisible, but when they fire their first shot or after 6 seconds they should then no longer be invisible. Due to random spawnpoints in a certain area, this should be able to somewhat fix the problem (i think).

    This idea seems like it could fix the problem, however it would be a little overpowered in my opinion. As it stands, you can knife someone and still have spawn resistance, imagine being knifed by someone invisible! I think I like the idea of having spawnpoints move, which would completely null the effects of spawncamping, because it would only be successful for 5-10 seconds before it is moved. On top of this, I've seen plenty of fly hackers make their way to the enemy spawn before their spawn resistance is worn off, so they could fly to their spawn under invisibility and not be seen to do so, and just be in the enemy spawn. This also makes it hard to spectate players, as you lose them as soon as they spawn because they can travel out of your vision before they lose their resistance. On the other hand with moving spawns, would they move if one player keeps spawncamping or if there was a high concentration of a certain team at the other teams' spawn? One person can be easy enough to flush out, so I think it should be only with too many. We don't want to make it too easy for the low levels or they will leave because it's too boring.

    Sorry for not being clear. When they attack in any form including knife they become visible. I also didn’t think about the community’s integrity on cheating.

    If you get spawn camped just kill the other players._. Not too hard. Your KDR may go down a bit but if u r good then just kill the campers. If that doesnt work I suggest just spectating and wait till the next game because clearly your team is trash.

    You can always find some sneaky spot and hide and get a few kills and maybe get a reasonably good score. Also it's not very nice to blame your team, because you are on that team too :v
