Idea Gapple Cooldown

I don't feel like this is a good idea, because there isn't a whole lot you can do with your gold when you have a lot. Gapples aren't too OP either, because you don't get too big of an advantage when you use one, compared to their price.

 

He is making this thread because he is salty that he lost a 3v2 vs Sicck and me when raiding Siccks spawner. I gappled once to reorganise my inventory and then they dropped.

If you want to get mod you should be able to deal with those things better. Thats just like Sleeq making threads about everything that is unfair towards him. If players can afford to bring 3 sets and 16 gapples to a fight why forbid it?

 

Jesus get off of your high horse. You won because I keep getting these wonderful bugs where I can't hit players, now stop being so damn salty already. We can't all spend over 24 hours a day on Raid.

On to the actual topic of the thread - I personally think 3 hours would be enough.

 

I agree with @Jeenss, having GApples is hard enough to do, but if you’ve managed to grind enough gold to have a few then I think players should be allowed to use them. It’s one of the benefits of grinding to such high amounts of gold on Raid, which is most likely done through the economy, so in a way it encourages people to use it. Again, as Jeenss said, it’s not too OP either, players risk their armor being broken during this time and if they have another set then they’re risking running out of GApples and having little room for soup and having a cluttered inventory.

 

Also consider that voting gets you so much stuff. I've raided, at most, 5 people this map, and yet I had a decent base with decent gear until I got backstabbed, of which I'd say 75% was purchased with voting tokens/gold purchased during voting.

I don't see why this is an issue. If they want to spend hundreds of gold to (possibly) stay alive, then let them. They will lose tons of gold for hardly any reward in the end considering most of their armor and opponents armor will be broken too. -1, it's fine how it is.

I love how the people staying getting gold is easy aren't even close to the bal top

 

Honestly if there is a gapple cooldown i will let the entire shop economy die. No pots no gear. Since colonel isnt selling noone will. Why would i grind gold if i dont have a use for it. @Tuumai still salty aboit that 4v1 in a gank where i had 3 sets and 5 gapps and all of Sub died?

I don't see the need for this. If you use a gapple then you're spending 72 gold to stay alive, and if you do manage to kill the opponent then the armour will be very broken so in the end you're not gaining too much. Also there isn't a lot of things to spend gold on so this would also make gold worth a lot less which there's no need for.

 

I agree super much as already alot of ppl have said its way too easy to get gold and its rlly annyoing when you try to soup and then they gapple 3 times, and when your in a gank and they gapple your pretty dead. Theres aswell only like 5 ppl on the server who can gapple beacuse they got enough gold to waste it on gapples, i made one today since i was getting raided and i already denied it, i lost 50% of my gold. The only way to be eable to use gapples like each day is if you grind at a gold farm or vote every single day and never buy stuff in the shop and just sell stuff in the shop (Hella ton with pots etc) and all of that takes a hella ton of time. If this aint getting added please make gapples cost 12 gold blocks or something instead or like make so you need to use a s5 or 4 etc and 7 gold blocks to make a gapple. Tho as @Tuumai said 6h is way too long that would ecual 1 gapple a day wich actually keeps the doctor away but make it 3h so that @CalledRainer can gapple twice at koth The 6 hour cooldown or 3h cooldown would be a bit like HCF tho and i dont like that feeling so make it so that its harder too craft. +1

 

Go grind gold if it is so ez.
