Idea Remove Mob Stack Limit

    For next map I think the mob stacking limit should be removed. I don't see why it should have a cap of 256 anyways, as if you want to afk for that long, you probably will get tracked. Also, if people will be more encouraged to afk on the server, it would make things look slightly more active in a sense. This would mainly be a QoL buff anyways, as you can just kill the mobs and reset instead of just doing it in one go.

    Adding onto this, I think there should be a way to kill the entire stack of mobs in one blow (ie throwing a potion at them or something). This was one of my least favourite things about the stacking pluggin, as mob farms are far less efficient now than before with piston crushers and what not.

    Quite frankly I think if both of these ideas would be added, it could potentially be too op since before mob stacking, the chunk would have limits on mobs, but either would make things a lot easier / smooth imo, so I will settle for either (preferably the second one).

    Lmk your thoughts on this / other improvements to be made.

    The biggest reason mob stacking was added (if I recall correctly) was to try and bring down the lag. I feel like some adjustments could be made, but completely removing mob stacking could potentially add on to the lag on Raid.

    I meant just removing the limit on how many mobs can be in the stack. Sorry if I was unclear.

    Ohh I see, mistake on my part (was busy working on a project while replying to this). Only downside I could see is potential glitches/bugs/lag that could potentially arise from having an unlimited amount of stacked mobs. I would prefer having a much higher max as a solution. Otherwise both of these suggestions looks good, +1.

    I think being able to afk thousands of mobs will be incredibly overpowered. At that point it is way more efficient than an xp farm without the plug in, which isn't needed IMO. The point of the addition is to reduce lag, adding a buff to xp farms shouldn't be included IMO.

    What's the difference between thousands of unstacked mobs and thousands of stacked mobs?

    Mob spawns still had a limit as I previously mentioned.
    All I really want here is for the pluggin the fill in the gaps between vanilla MC. Having to manually kill 100+ mobs after afking for 5 mins, then repeating to do the same over the course of 30 mins since I can't do it all at once due to the limit is sooo annoying

    You don't get to thousands of unstacked mobs, right, isn't there an entity limit.

    Only on naturally spawning mobs - Spawners are not effected by this limit.

    I agree you should only be able to stack several numbers of mobs.

    Ah alright, I feel like my knowledge of this came from servers that had mob caps then
