Event Discussion

I really want to see another raid event, possibly around Easter, just to spice things up and hopefully introduce some new people to Raid. I am in the works communicating with staff about this, but nothing is confirmed yet or official - just discussion at this point. Any idea must be confirmed by higher ups, so please keep this in mind and that an event may not happen at all, or might be delayed.

I'm creating this thread to ask what you guys would want the next event to be. List any specific suggestions or features you would like, as well as themes or prizes - basically anything related to what a perfect event would be for you. It doesn't have to be easter themed, but it would be more fitting imo if it was.

Criteria I would like:
- Some sort of epic map
- Would be fun for both Raid and non-Raid players, inclusive to all (perhaps a kit of some sort?)
- Loot spread out around map varying from gear to resources to help players out (tracking stuff, base things)

Possible ideas:
- Staff protect the base against the rest of everyone
- Boss battle
- Huge KOTH / LMS (I have an arena for this in the works somewhere)
- Perhaps include minievents in it to get loot? (KOTL, Parkour etc)
- Leaning towards massive free for all personally

FFA specifications:
- Teams essentially disbanded (no clue how hard this would be to do)
- See if there is a way to hide players skins / names (iirc from previous LMS, invis effect didn't work)
- One life in the event
- Huge map
- If not possible, then a team war would be dope imo, Possibly see if team cap can be temporarily reduced to 3 or something, but nonetheless a team war would be cool

LMK your ideas / feedback on the things I mentioned. I would love to see more events, so please discuss anything related to them here.

 

Have the ID or some way to access it? I was going to use it / work with him before but he quit before it got finished /shrug

 

It wouldn't be 2 teams. It would be the entire server, every team that exists and wants to participate. There are enough people decent at PvP spread across the teams that would allow for more competition + people from other servers.

 

Koths are way different than events. I also suggested temporarily lowering the team cap if possible to spread things out more. Also, koths aren't really 2 teams, its 2 sides with all the allies and what not. With a larger prize and such, teams should fight for themselves. Of course the better players would all go to one team, but with the player count of events and diversity of participants, I don't see it being a one sided stomp like koths. This was just one idea though, if you have better ones or tweaks feel free to suggest them, I'm all ears.
