Golden apples?

    So i was on mc warz today and i found a golden apple in a chest. I found it in nether. What does it do? is it function like a regular golden apple or is it like mtn dew? I will post a pic tomorow.

    Nota bene: I was using the default mc texturepack.


    To staff: If this is just the mtn dew, lock this thread. If so, sorry for wasting your time.

    The golden apple is equivalent to a mountain dew.

    I don't believe this is correct... I'm pretty sure mountain dew just restores health and thirst to full instantly, whereas the golden apples gives you "God Mode" essentially for around 5 seconds.

    I don't want to risk it yet until im about to be killed so they can take it. I would like an answer that defines the true purpose of it.
    Did you ever find one before?

    Well gamemaster800, i finally got good gear w/o dying and im doing great. Back on topic, gamemaster800, you shouldve eaten them b4 dying to deny your killers of them.

    I've probably found around 20 - 30 collectively across all servers from looting and killing people. I've only eaten a couple however. From what I've observed it gives you a puts you into a "God Mode" like state for around 5 seconds.

    I found out what it did today. When you right click with it, it gives you an instant health potion effect for 3 seconds. Guess that makes it even better the mtn dew.

    Yeah no, you'll still die even if one shotted. If you have 10 hearts and a barret or spas takes out all 10 instantly, then not even instant health can save you from that.

    That's right.
    Golden apples also restores your health.

    Essentially golden apples will heal you completely and give you a type of "God Mode" for 5 seconds.
    So, basically, it's a trump card.

    Another thing to keep in mind, when you eat a god apple, you cannot eat or drink anything else for a few seconds
