    I have been working on the map for almost a month now. It is WetWorks from COD4. I have been trying to find a way to contribute to the server for a while because I have not been accepted as staff. which I am ok with because when summer gets here I will have a 30 hour/week job. so I wont have the time to be on.

    the map can be found on build under the name cod. map id is 329279

    Ice Bear would not like to see this map in brawl it is too plain the shape of the ship is too basic and it just doesn't look pretty overall. Ice Bear would recommend making the ship more round and less angular. Make the cover more diverse by adding differently shaped shipping crates.

    Hello there @OpTic_Wiser!
    Great to see another map submission!

    As I can tell by the screenshots, does it look a bit too flat - both the walls and the ground.
    It would definitely be more interesting if you had some depth and details. It also looks a bit too open; easy to spot enemies but you will get killed even easier. There is a bunch of points that can be improved. I would have done it completely different from the base, a totally different shape to give it a more realistic feeling.

    Things you should improve:
    • Details (Do not leave things flat and use a bigger amount of different blocks, everything doesn't look the same everywhere. Give it a pattern or whatever, as long as it isn't flat and boring).

    • Shape (The shape of the boat is a bit "edgy" - well, this is Minecraft, everything is edgy here ',:V Try to smooth it out a bit, the nose doesn't peek 45° like that. I usually go from 6-,5-,4-,3- and 2 blocks, to make it smooth, I rarely make it 1 block, because boats doesn't have a 45° nose. Don't make it like a V, make it smoother to eventually make it straight on the side of the boat. Take a look at how I and @Theo92160_ made our cargo ship (even tho it's not the best example, but I think you get it) in the map Docks).

    • Layout (The layout of the map - where the containers, bridges and all in-map things that makes the actual map, needs to get improved. The containers is all in line and it makes a "walkway/corridor" straight through the map, this only causes players to stand and camp the whole "walkway/corridor". As much as I know about the COD map, is it on a cargo ship and the containers are not in any specific order, it's just like they've been randomly placed. So make it look the way the actual COD map does. Try to avoid own remakes and versions).

    Those are what I recommend that you should do. There's a bunch of other things that I would have changes myself, but that's just the style I do it, and I personally do not like making maps that already exist and that should look like a specific map. I like building on my own and make my own style and layout. I can get inspired by an existing map but that's all.
    For example my remake of 2Fort, it is based and built around the layout of the old 2Fort map, but I added what I wanted to add, to make it more special. I believe that MC-War will be more interesting if the maps wasn't copied from other games. MC-War is a game on its own and it should have its own maps.

    At the end, it looks like a decent start, but nothing playable as it is today. Improve those things I've mentioned above and give it another try! I do not think this is done yet.

    Ice Bear says definitely an improvement but the ship is too wide still and the bridge needs better shape, There is a serious lack of cover and the map lacks depth. Ice Bear says you are heading in the right direction though keep it up.

    I think maybe give the boxes the same texture, like not having one with lapis and the others with wool.

    thank you ben. the lapis was to add color. i will change that one to wool. it would be nice if i could use concrete but the creative server doesnt support 1.12 blocks and items

    The scale is not even close to the actual map. I never completed mine as I lost the world file but this was what I did when I was working on it. https://www.brawl.com/threads/35954/ . I too lacked the block detail but the map is hard for block variation because of how bland the cod 4 map is.
