    You are literally asking the person who does it. Removing enderpearls won't fix this problem. What about if theres a
    1v1 against guy with 1 set and the other one has 3. He just can't kite away cause of epearls disabled.

    I am, of course, much more experienced when it comes to KitPvP 1v1s or HG fights, but I HATE the immense amount of gear you have to bring to a normal KOTH or something. I remember in the Castle Siege End Of Map event, each of us had a total of 3 sets, 3 sets of recrafts, rods, GApples, pots, with maybe 7 actual soups in our invs...kinda eh.
    I'd love to see people forced into a more soup-oriented fighting style.

    Like seriously - I've played a LOT of HG events (be it here or on Simple) and, especially on Simple, you have to have at least 3 sets of iron armor. If you want to equate that to a P4 set, sure, not as much, but keep in mind you can't naturally find diamonds in HG. I don't want to think what happens when someone lets diamonds spawn by accident.
    Personally a debuff nerf and a plugin to make you take additional damage when you don't have a certain amount of Soup in your inv at the START of a fight would be nice.

    Ya it sucks when ppl bring 2-3 sets. U cant manage to win anyfights when ur enemy have 2 sets. And remove those enderpearls or make their cooldown longer. 1.7 enchantment would be nice 2 to make p4 rare.

    Ppl would iron pvp more if p4 was rare and the server would be alive again (maybe)

    Well, imo, if you want straight hardcore PvP, there are plenty of practice servers out there. Here, for hardcore PvP (or just PvP in general) you need to grind hard for a fight (as in to get started and have a chance). This is extremely boring imo as you're just vanilla grinding for a vanilla fight with (mainly) vanilla items. Its really nothing unique or fun imo. Why PvP here when you can PvP with all the loot provided for you in a controlled area on a practice server? I think we should instead be striving for more exciting PvP and to give us a more unique identity instead of trying to work with a dead idea that few people seem to like anymore. I think you can still address some of the issues you described if we were to try to make pvp custom, but the idea of "hardcore vanilla pvp" doesn't seem to have a reasonable place in long run growth for the server from my perspective.

    Ngl sub and calledrainer started most of this XD
    Imo the changes needed are
    No team warps within 1k of spawn
    Gapple cooldown of 45 sec from end of Regen effect
    Pvp timer of 90 sec for pearls

    Webs and obby are annoying to be trapped in but I don't think they should be removed

    Once it is harder to kite a fight I think less people will bring 2 sets and the nerf to gapples will reduce their usage too.

    Next map better not have an ocean within 1k of spawn... I don't need to name the fish who runs straight to it every fight

    It's not like a rule can be made to stop people from bringing all of this anyway, but imo I think that the map kit should be reduced to atleast a sharp 5 protection 3. Some may think this is a terrible idea, but it actually makes it so there's a point to bring a lot of soup in your inventory as a sharp 5 to protection 4 armour is around 1 to 1.5 hearts (I think, not a minecraft expert) so it makes it extremely easy to bring around 10 soups and if you need to, refill them back while taking damage from other players, therefore a sharp 5 to protection 3 (no idea how many hearts it does, idk if it even changes) will be taking more damage and it will be harder for them to recraft. Just my opinion though.

    It's more like some of these players (not gonna say who) are just playing to win instead of playing for fun now. However, only they can change their mindsets, not us.

    If i couldnt kite as easy i wouldnt bring a 2nd set. However i would still bring msny gapples what is 100% fair from my point of view. its the only use for gold.

    Hopefully some of our planned changes for next map should fix some of these issues. However, I have to disagree with removing sponges/cobwebs/other strategical items. These make fights interesting and adds strategy to PvP'ing. Sure, it makes it less about pure PvP but when you think of Raid as a whole it's not pure PvP. It has a lot of vanilla minecraft and we should be able to utilize stuff like enderpearls and cobwebs, IMO. Don't worry though, the staff team is listening and we have a lot of exciting plans we hope you'll enjoy #soon.

    This server is basically just the easier version of mcpvp raid.

    Almost everyone who pvps daily wants a change on pvp. I've been actually enjoying pvping for 4 years like I said earlier, and now It's actually getting boring. This is something staff team should take seriously.

    Like I said earlier using gabs is fine, It's always been part of pvp. When your armor breaks you can use gab again, It is gonna kill you anyways, because you don't have any armor left. My point was about using extra sets and everything combined.

    Can you explain what you meant how we started this?

    I agree with this thread and I feel like for a "Hardcore stew pvp gamemode" it should be Hardcore pvp, thats the point.

    For the few weeks before vanta quit sub were non stop tryharding
    having extra players ready to log on for fights/Every time sub were loosing a fight ye would kite with bow boosting and pearls and the set team warps
    This was some of the reason the gods left :/

    Okay so, bow boosting started when we saw others do it. What can we do if people just constantly bow boosting away? keep potting up speed and just chase? Secondly, my thread has nothing to do with setting team warps.

    That's why I added it in, it's part of the reason pvp isn't fun
    There is a reason there is a movement based timer in tpa on hcf

    Im really torn on this. I think that finding new niche scenarios to use specific items in PvP is really fun, and can be cool well you actually pull something off / escape solely because one of the items. as an example, even thought it pissed me off, @FrostByte was able to endlessly trap me in a corner with a punch 2 bow spam, there was nothing i could do. That type of scenario would happen once in ages but is cool when pulled off and makes bringing a bow worth it. I don't think that we should start straight banning items that people bring because it won't solve the problem, people who like to bring tons of items will find items to bring that take the place/serve the purpose of the first. I think that items could be nerfed for sure, here are some ideas:

    Sponges without spawn protection: This idea I've had for a long time and I'm so glad you brought it up. Running around spawn sponging is so boring and so annoying to find someone especially with the nooks and crannies you can hide in in spawn. You could even make it so you can't use sponges within 1000 or 1500 blocks so people can still use this in their bases for fun.

    Ender pearls to 1000: Self explanatory, pearl chasing is boring.

    Webs don't need to be changed imo. I think they're too important for netting kills at KOTH because otherwise people would just run far enough that the member would rather go back and help their team then chase forever, so webs are probably good.

    So all around a good thread, and in a perfect world we could find a healthy balance between not having 100 random items in your inventory and not just vanilla PvP with the same loadouts for everyone
