For saying ip adress you get muted for 7 days?

This is for bluntly posting a server IP.

 

i dont think anyone likes to see random advertised servers

 

I’m going to have to disagree with decreasing the time to 12 hours because 7 days should encourage you not to do it again.

Braw has been having player retention issues and bluntly posting an IP address doesn’t help Brawl’s situation especially when you shouldn’t be advertising anywhere anyways.

Huh. Advertising used to be a year mute so lets all just cherish that.

If that's what you really said that definately shouldn't be a mute... Maybe a short one as a warning but 7 days is way too much for something like that.

 

A 12 hour mute will just lead to constant spamming after that mute is over. Any Minecraft server would not want you advertising another, whether that'd be saying the IP address for friends to join, or fully advertising for the purpose to drag players from one server to another, as saying the IP alone could cause players to leave to join your server.

There is also the fact that if one of our players joins a server, they would then have an easy access towards that player IP and use that to get other information on the player.
