Idea the reason why not many people are entering these build competitions on build

True, but we also believe that a theme like "medieval" or any theme that's just a style of building would only benefit a group of people, and would possibly be too vague and open of an idea that no one really knows what to build other than castles made of spruce and stone brick. We need to somehow go between being too specific and being too broad, but that's quite difficult if you ask me. So if you have any good ideas feel free to suggest them (pls not military) !!

 

There are actually different ways you can use the theme park theme to build pretty much anything. Since it's a theme park, anything is possible e.g. futuristic, medieval, apocalyptic theme. You don't have to stick to your standard modern theme park. You just have to be creative in interpreting the theme. I'd even say this is one of the most general themes they have yet to use in a building competition.

 

Makes sense, but I see these very often in RP's :/ Maybe it's difficult to make it look nice at the first glance? Either way, this theme is not very well suited I guess, considering how many people decided not to participate because of the theme.

Medieval was a theme already

 

Sheep refers to RPs, and if you reflect on it, RPs could actually benefit us, as many times they have a specific theme. And due to the fact that the RPs are many on Build we could use some of their themes, as that would be what people build the most.

 

The reason many don't join build comps is because

1. A large portion of the Build community doesn't speak English
2. Even if they do, they're very young kids who are not interested in building and competitive building even less, but RPing (they're 9, and playing with other kids is what they should do)
3. Due to the reasons I pointed out, there are nearly no Build players on Forums, which makes it harder to spread knowledge
4. Limited knowledge of World Edit; building something without WE is a big task

Many other reasons too, but I'm just going to say it simply here: Build does not have a building community. Build players are young kids who are not very interested in building, so obviously building competitions are not interesting. To put things into perspective the server I build on (the most succesful building server) has an age of around 16-30 years old in the "Member" area (where only skilled builders can build).
