You should really get to know how I am, if I have an opinion I'll say it I'm not being "slave" towards anything nor would I care or have reason to?

I find the ban fair that's my own opinion, other staff/people may disagree with me but I find it fair as the rule clearly states it isn't allowed and doesn't mention specific servers it is allowed on.

Allowing Modifications or Hacked Clients on build just give ways for excuse for someone who may connect to the lobby with It and say "I was logging into build" or something similar to attempt to be unbanned when they're punished.

 

yes he used an entity map on build, but then again we don't know if he used it on another server or not. I think he said he didn't, he was a good staff member in his time, I would take his word. But the "rules are rules" statement is true, and I don't understand why exceptions are ever made. All there is to say though, is that he was banned fairly. But should be getting unbanned soon with an easy appeal

Considering knowing Roke, Eil, and Miskey, I don't think they would allow someone to hack on a server just because "it doesn't give them an advantage." Eil takes that seriously, along with Roke. Miskey would not let that slide.

 

Good theory, didn't work in practice. I've hacked so many times in front of Eil, Roke, SoCool, Removers (once I believe) and chilled. Also in front of multiple jmods.

Kinda bs to allow me to hack on purpose while doges does no harm and he gets banned.

I must say, people shouldn't test out hacks on build. Don't do that. Eil said that he allowed me to hack so I could fly faster. I took it too far. I don't think that people should show hacks on build, IF it doesn't help you with building

 

:/ kinda sucks when stuff like this gets revealed, you'd think there would be more order. Also why didn't you just /speed fly (number) ?

 

That is harder and that isn't the only useful thing hacked clients have. Autoclicker, strafe and a few other things are also helpful. Minimaps are also kinda helpful.

 

You don‘t have the tiniest shred of proof that he even used it somewhere else.
Like seriously, lots of people have used blatant stuff on Build in front of mods in the past. They did no harm because they had no perms on the map, so all it did was provide a bit of fun for a couple of players. I really don‘t see how a minimap (this particular one only shows player heads when you have LoS on them anyway) can do harm on Build.

 

I am, check my login logs for 4/21 if you don't believe me. In fact, I even went back and checked through own logs to confirm this.

Seriously, you should know I don't play on other gamemodes actively and benefit in no way from using minimap (except on non brawl servers)

 

You know if it was James who was banned I bet this thread would have at least 3 pages more

 

I mean Doges could probably get easily unbanned by appealing, so I don't really understand the point of this thread since Doges hasn't even said he wants unbanned.

Should probably rename the thread to "Hacking on Build - Discussion".

 

lol theres a difference, ban was enforced with sufficient proof of it being used on a brawl server, either way still isnt allowed, some of james bans were related to actual ghost clienting

 

I thought all his bans were false

 

I don't know either but I made that conclusion because he said to me he doesn't care if he's banned or not

 

lol yeah if he got unbanned, either way Doges was banned fairly, he was a mod and knew it was a rule. Was he banned fairly? Yes. Has he appealed? Not from my knowledge since he doesn't mind I believe but I don't know. He can appeal it after a month anyways lol 100% getting unbanned if they own up to it aswell.

 

I've had an appeal up for a couple days now.

 

Update: Appeal was denied.

 

It was minimap on build, who cares?

So you think that having mini maps on build is creating a big enough advantage over other players that he deserves to be banned?

A simple yes or no is enough

 

I bet it was the same mod who screamed and raged when he was only demoted for imo pretty obvious evidence XD
