Idea Iron salvaging

    This was already suggested by @Carnotaurus a while ago, however i would like it to work ONLY for iron blocks. (Not gold bc goldfarms would be OP) not p4 because this would make p4 even easier to get. However i have an insane amount of iron armour which is useless since i dont need more than maybe 5 iron sets to pvp now and then.

    With iron salvaging you could recycle iron armour and swords and make them to iron blocks giving them a new use as for example for trackers.

    Dont blame me for any typing mistakes since i wrote this on my phone

    +1, I usually just throw out iron armor anyways. How would this work though? Would you put it into a crafting table and it would give iron or would smelting it do it?

    No. On McTeams you would rightclick an ironblock and get for a 50% damaged chestplate 4 iron

    +1 tho i think that you should make gold/diamond salvaging possbile again since it was on mcpvp and theres 1.7 enchanting rn

    Gold salvaging=op bc of fold swords of pigmen and dia makes it again easier to enchant which we were trying to avoid

    Well its still pretty hard to get p4, on mcpvp you got super glad if you got like 6 sets p4, And there was dia salvaing.but still we got the 1.8 tip for enchanting stuff so i dont rly know about this one ,:stuck_out_tongue:

    @CalledRainer, this is a great idea and it has worked on old servers but regardless .i personally think its good and will allow people get more iron for trackers from salvaged armour.

    I did 1 hour of iron pvp yesterday and got 2 dubs iron armour. Im just waiting for it to get raided since i need max 3 sets of iron armour.

    Only way I think this wouldnt be too or is if you had an iron balance and you only got 25% of the value of the piece you are salvaging

    Raid staff wants to encourage players to learn tracking/track more. Players state that grinding trackers is too hard/doesnt pay off if you are not good at it which i can understand. Ironsalvaging would be an easy way to make building trackers easier.
    For those who think they will be tracked all the time then: Having trackers and knowing how to use them are two entirely different skill levels and have nothing to do with each other. Jusg because someone has trackerd he wont hit vaults

    Um, I combine broken iron pieces and put them in the shop (on pretty much a daily basis, or as I raid bases). I get the idea of scavenging, and I’m even for scavenging gold swords, but if you have dubs of busted iron in your vault, you’re doing it wrong.

    @Colonel_Graff prices are low and i am too lazy to combine. Its much easier to make gold with enchant and pots. Sell 1 eff5 and you got 150 gold. You would have to sell 200 pieces of iron armour for that plus i hate beeing undercut by you all the time especially on armour </3

    IMO an iron salvaging system would be pretty neat, but it might upset the economy since players with double chests full of armor and iron swords would be able to flood the shop with extremely cheap iron (same goes for diamond gear).
    I'm all for gold sword salvaging since they're a complete waste of space in chests otherwise, so why not make them a bit more useful?

    If you are going to be a raid MOD at least learn the economy. Gold is the currency and making gold swords salvageable would destroy the economy (pigman farms)

    100% agreed with Ryan. You should learn raid economy first lul. If ypu have read my initial thread you should know that i didnt want diamondsalvaging because it would make p4 easier to get. However iron should be cheaper to make iron trackers and tracking in general easier affordable.
