Removing Sentries / Planting Sentries

Sentry gun is good killstreak if you want to get many kills, but many players are not good at planting it or removing it.

So I will tell you how to do it.



Removing Sentry Guns.

First, if you have cold blood perk, use it when you find sentry guns. That perk make you can say fak you to sentry (and to more killstreak attacks). But if you don't have it or you are not using it, you need to do following acts.

1. Remove it with your grenades.
Grenade is good weapon for removing it, but it's hard to use. If you can do it, do it. But you can't get removing bonus.

2. You don't have to remove it. Your teammates will do it.
And you need to run away from sentry. After a minute or some more, sentry will be removed.

3. Remove it with your gun.
But sentry shot is strong so you need to move fast, or hide behind the wall.
I found sentry can't shoot you when you are behind 1 1/2 block with pressing shift key. But you can shoot it!
And it can't shoot you when you are far away from it. Try to shoot it far away. (Maybe 10~15blocks)






Planting it is harder. Players must try to remove it. So you need to plant it in a good place.

What is a good place?

1. Behind the wall. Like this.

ㅁ is a sentry and ㅇ is a block, ㅅ is a player.
□ is nothing. Ignore it.

□ㅅ□ㅇ□□□□□□□

In this position, that player didn't notice there is sentry. So you can get 1 kill.



2. Not opened position.

Like top of building, and center of way is not good place.

Players can notice it far away, and they will remove it easily.


3. Side of battlesite.

If many players are there, you can get more possiblity to kill players.
Front of battlesite is too dangerous so plant sentries in side.



4. Behind you.
It sounds strange. But if you are camping and you are getting high killstreak, it is good choice. Sentries will kill enemies who want to kill you from behind.






So where is the best place?

Behind the wall, side of battlesite, and behind players.

Minecraft view can't show you your behind. So behind players is a good place too.


But, sadly, you can see health bar of sentries withour UAV.

So I recommend to use 2 sentries together to give more damages to attackers.
