Which gun type is the best gun type?

I like snipers because it’s good to one shot and they have lots of ammo for high killstreaks.
I find it generally fun to use and satisfying to headshot.
I also like using machine guns to charge and it’s fun to troll with shotguns.
You didn’t say what your favourite gun type was, I’m interested to know.

 

I prefer rifles probably for the same reason I did in legacy. In legacy, I was a Skull Crusher user all the way. The biggest things that feed into my preference are:
1. Good for distance kills, yet also useful up close be it scoped or not scoped.
2. Fast firing, meaning if you miss, you have a lot more options.
3. All around easier to use that a lot of guns

 

Rifles are good for pretty much every scenario and I play best with them. I would venture out into snipers but I just cannot get used to the off-center firing that snipers have right now. Rifles are much more forgiving, and are also good for both long-range and close-range. I was an MP7 + Deagle main in legacy, and loved never having to scope with the huge headshot damage the legacy MP7 seemingly has. Snipers and rifles were great too, but I think all legacy guns are pretty usable as opposed to the set selection of guns you need to use to excel in 2.0. What I wouldn't give to use the legacy MP7 or even the legacy L118a in 2.0...

But yeah, in 2.0's current state, rifles all the way for me.

 

Ice Bear is a sniper main. Ice Bear says that one bullet can always kill faster than 3. Though Ice Bear loves SMGs like the MP5 too something about hipfire SMGs is so satisfying.

 

I used to be an assault rifle main, but now im starting to use snipers a lot more. So, im really in the middle between rifles and snipers.

 

I think each class of guns can be fun to use depending on each game's circumstances, so it depends. The ARs, Snipers, and LMGs are pretty much always viable and fun to use, the shotguns are pretty fun on Hijacked for and on some other maps, and SMGs are personally kinda niche, I'll pick them when I feel like it. XD

I used to be more of a rifle guy. The Skullcrusher from legacy war was my main weapon for years. I liked it a lot because of its accuracy at long distance and the accuracy you get when you start hip firing from mid to short distances. But I realized that sniper rifles were a better option when 2.0 came around. For me they are way more efficient since I'm a headhunter (This explains why my accuracy is so low because getting headshots doesn't get your accuracy up). Just 1 bullet can do the job, no matter what sniper rifle you may use. The things you need is good aim and being able to predict where your opponent is going to move next.
The thing with rifles now is that they're way too slow for me. I'm so used to sniper rifles that I almost never use rifles. When someone tries to shoot me with a rifle I am able to react fast enough to 180 them and place a bullet right between my opponents eyes.

 

I usually choose from two things: 1, Agility 2, Anything that deals lower dmg. Sounds stupid? It does. But where is the fun when you have no exciting 1v1 gunfights? For that I like low tier rifles, shotguns, smgs too. I love scar as well, altho it has good dmg, you can't really just spam it and prefire at everything because of the low magazine capacity, and for that, it needs experience to use. But I still use acr sometimes when I just want to farm :S

My opinion about the snipers and why I hate them

I find all the sniper mains just boring to play with. You get shot from across the map, yeee, you can walk there again, repeat. This doesn't even make me rage anymore, it's just annoying and boring. And as I said above, where is the fun in it? Okay, it might be satisfying and all, but still, I usually just leave the game (Whoever knows me enough knows that I don't give a s*it about kdr or deaths or anything. I just have no interest staying in that game, wasting my time.)
Another dumb thing is when everyone says they use sniper because it can oneshot. Then I ask okay, but why necesseraly EBR? Dragunov can oneshot too. "Oh because ebr has soo much ammo in a clip, I don't have to reload that much!" Well this is usually the story they hide behind, then I watch them shift in a camping spot and just spamming it without any aim... Just tellin' y'all, whoever uses ebr "the right way", if you want to get good at sniping, don't use the best one. Use a low tier, with less ammo. It will give you no second chance in an encounter, so you will have to be more precise or... you get an important lesson. That's a reason why Ben gained my respect again lol.
And why I don't use snipers? Welp, I just found out not too long ago that I still have my khm "skills" khm from legacy, but with my avarage 15 fps, nowadays 300-500+ ping, I can't keep up with a good player. Also, higher ping -> worse hit reg (yes it's a thing I'm not making it up...). I am happy if every 2nd shot hits. And call me a hipster, but what is the good for war gaining another jumpy quackscoper? I would just go and master shotguns or idk. Also, it's not my type *shrugs*

 

Ice Bear says that a low tier sniper like the MSR is actually as good some might even say better than the M21 EBR. Ice Bear actually prefers the MSR due to its sheer fire rate. Ice Bear used to call the EBR a crutch sniper for people who need 15 bullets to land a kill but really you aren't going to get much better at sniping by using this gun over another sniping is really just about raw aim and eventually players reach a point regardless of sniper where they realize that they only need 5 bullets in a magazine. Ice Bear says probably the main reason people use EBR is not its magazine capacity but how much reserve ammo it has. It is very hard to get high killstreaks with the pityful 50 bullets all the other snipers have.

 

I see a lot of people just shifting in one spot and just waiting for a person to come around with ebr. I find this very annoying This won't really improve your sniping

Yeah I'm dissapointed that people who use the EBR tend to be like that. I won't name anyone but you know who you are. They just find a spot, hold their crouch button for the entire game and wait for someone to pass their crosshair. I on the other hand actually do something when I use the EBR. I'm an offensive player, even with the EBR. I like to play fast but precise at the same time. I never stand still and never use my crouch button. Standing still always means death in my book. I play at any distance with sniper rifles and I'm not afraid to have 1v1's where there's only a couple blocks of distance between us.
