Idea Prestige reward Pistol

A -1 from me. I think of rewards for prestiging should definitely be a thing, but not this. I don't think it really creates that much more of an incentive to prestige to get it as it's a "fun" gun that won't be actually viable. If you want to make prestiging worth it, you got to give something that people will want, and a bad to mediocre pistol isn't that. Also, I don't think anyone would ever use it regardless behind prestige or not as it's damage is so low. If a gun is that low of damage, I don't think many would consider it fun. Anyways, obviously this is just my opinion and maybe I'm completely incorrect and people would actually like and use it. I think there definitely should be something to get after prestiging, just personally not this. ~J

 

I really like the idea, but as JE said it should be more powerful and able to replace the regular pistols.

 

In that case the stats seem fine. I was also thinking a new knives could be a prestige award:
Prestige 1 Stone, 2 Iron, 3 gold, 4 diamond

How about some nuttier weapons for Prestige‘d player? I‘m thinking along the lines of a minigun, or a flamethrower, or a special riot gun that applies slowness when hitting others but deals low damage.
The Kolibri is a really silly weapon in Battlefield 1 that I‘ve had a lot of fun with myself, so IMO this isn‘t a game-breaker.

 

The only issue I see with things like this is that most prestige players are already pretty good at the game, the last thing they need is an even more powerful weapon.

 

Sure, but a minigun or flamethrower isn‘t a practical weapon in War - it‘s meant to be fun.

 

If any sort of minigun were to be added, it would need to be much worse than the minigun from Legacy. I like the idea of special guns like that being in the game, but it has the potential to be way too OP.

 

Maybe a minigun or flamethrower could be a killstreak received from care packages.

 

I don’t really like this either as having a third gun could be a little too useful? I know the gun is bad but having two secondaries is a lot more chances of surviving than just one. ~J

 

Having the use of a minigun or a flame thrower that did pretty minimal damage but is fun to use/kinda viable actually sounds like a lot of fun.

 

If you do make the pistol for those who prestige, maybe add it to the second hand? that way when your reloading you can just shoot with that dinky thing. Idk lol! I read up there maybe have a flamethrower or minigun that you get after a certain ks, but that would be hard to do. Maybe a minigun or other OP gun that runs out of ammo SUPER fast. Possibly... enough ammo to kill 6 people then it is gone for the game? Ik most guns get fresh ammo when you die and respawn, but maybe code this one to only have a certain amount of ammo per round regardless of deaths. Idk if that is possible, but it would be cool.

 

I'm assuming the second hand is in a higher version of Minecraft (not familiar with the contents of updates 1.8.9+ tbh). I know a lot of the people I have spoken to play in earlier versions, so I don't think everyone would have the second hand. This could be a cool idea if they server increases the minimum version.

As for the second part of your paragraph, I don't like the idea of a gun that is very OP which has a low amount of ammo which doesn't reset when you die. I think something like the AC-130/Chopper Gunner could be implemented at a killstreak - maybe 20 - where a player can run around on the floor with a Rocket Launcher or Minigun (or some other thing similar to that) for 15-30 seconds.

 

Or you can give them limited ammo with RPG/Minigun and they can use it until they run out.
