    Hullo

I feel like part of the lack of population is a pvp w/ economy server like wild west. I can understand how the newer warz 2.0 was a fail, the eco was crappy and people were very discouraged to continue because if op stuff was way to easy to get and there wasn't much worth buying. I feel like most people would also be very happy to see wild west again with some small updates as well.

    -Permanent houses
I have been on a server with a far larger population than wild west had and far richer players than wild west ever had and even with permanent houses, there was more than enough to go around. maybe the prices on the houses can be inflated so that it would be more fair considering they would be permanent, thus making the chance of running out of housing practically zero.
    -Proportionate drug prices
My suggestion for the drug system would be that every month, the prices of drugs change depending on how many people harvest and sell them. this would make it so there are no long term expensive drugs and people will be forced to travel in order to hog certain drugs and so that there are no drugs that eventually never get bought because of either lack of payment or the amount of people hogging them.
-Raise the prices of weapons and armor
The more we lowered the prices of guns, the more trouble people with less than 100 k had to excel on the server. raising the prices of guns will make it so fewer people can afford them but with the lower armed population, that will give more opportunity to newbies and allow the server to grow.
    -Remove anti-pvp in mines
This Change WOULD make mines less popular but over time more appealing because most of the population would lose seeing the the value in mining while a smaller population could use that as a major source of wealth while everyone is doing drugs but also add a lot more suspense into your mining journey.

    -Thanks

Agreed, ideally this would be the case but just adding more houses is a temporary solution. If we can get the dev time for it, maybe change the house system so you get your own house generated (separate to the Wild West map). If not, just make it so you lose ownership of your house after a month of not logging on.

Seems like an overly complex solution which we probably wouldn't get the dev time for. Just make it so every day, the price changes.

This could work, but you'd only see these effects if diamond armour was made very expensive (200k minimum). This'd then run the risk of making people who are really skilled at the game (and won't regularly die with the diamond armour) even more powerful.

Perhaps. But, at the moment mining is the only way to safely make a decent amount of money. Maybe make it so a certain amount of money goes into your bank every time you mine or process ores, so if you die, you don't lose all your profits. Ideally, mines would also be redesigned so they're better for PvP.

I agree, changing every day would actually probably be better than every month so it could stop people from hanging in the same spot for large amounts of time and would benefit certain people at certain times.

I agree with this too, this is how the populated server I mentioned also work. This is good so that one person can live in one place they really want to live in even if the house is occupied by someone else but unfortunately it also removes the perk of getting whatever possesions you find from the previous owner of a vacated house.

These are all superficial changes and don't deal with the main problem of retaining new players. Despite how much some people enjoy it, it really doesn't make financial sense to put a huge amount of dev/builder time & money into a gamemode with 10 players. How do you monetise it? How do you attract new players? How do you retain them, given the amount of time needed to learn it? What's to stop it going the same way it did before?

Really not a good idea I don't think, would be far better for the server to invest in games that make more money. Think of it this way: either we spend a lot of money on servers that people don't really like, and immediately die, or we focus on building a strong base with the games we know already work, then maybe bring back old gamemodes from there.
