What is your in-game name? - Swit2427
Is your Minecraft account secured and migrated? - Yes, and I’m the only one who knows my password.

What time zone are you in? - Eastern Standard Time
Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? - I am bilingual, I can speak English and French. My first language is French but I understand English pretty well. I am better at writing (in English) than speaking, but I am working to get better at speaking.

What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl? - I firstly played CTF on the account of my brother when it was from MCPVP, but I was not playing a lot. I only started to play CTF regularly at the beginning of 2016. At that time, I was not speaking English very well, so I was not well known by the community, but in May 2016, someone invited me to a CTF Team. Indeed, since May 2016, I am a member of The Crusaders! The members helped me to become better at speaking English and I started to be well-known by the community. Since that time, I have acquired a lot of experiences on CTF: I know pretty well the gamemode, I have played a lot of matches, I am trying my best to be involved in the community, and since January 2018 I am in the council of The Crusaders. Also, I have helped for some events in the past (PPM Tourney, Valentines Day Match) and I am scheduling matches for my team. I don’t know a lot about other Brawl’s gamemodes, but I have spent a small amount of time on Minecraft Build, MinecraftParty and Kitbrawl.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? - I have never been a moderator for a Minecraft server before. Despite that, I am someone who is pretty responsible and I have some qualities that a moderator has. For four years, I had an IRL job that required me to be in charge of employees: I was forming them, supervising them and I was making sure everything was going well. That experience helped me to develop a sense of responsibility similar to the responsibilities a JMOD has.

Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl? - I would like to become a moderator because I would like to help to improve CTF. I have always enjoyed the gamemode, but I would like to contribute to make the game even better. I have been playing CTF since a couple of years, I have seen it grow, and today I would like to participate to make it grow even more.

For me, new players are pretty important to make CTF bigger, and I want to help them to be a part of the community. CTF is a gamemode that could be complicated to learn with all the classes, the details and the playstyles. Helping new players as moderator is something I desire. Recently, I have posted a thread on the forum with some ideas to help new players, and I am currently a coach in the CTF Academy (a squad to help the new players). I have a lot of experience about teaching because it is currently the IRL job I have. That experience is helping me to understand more new players that are coming on Brawl and to also understand how I can help them. I believe that those new players have a lot of potential, they just need someone to be there for them to include them in the community (with teams and matches).

Another reason why I would like to become a moderator is that I would like to see CTF better itself. Sometimes I feel like some negativities are present on CTF and I would like to contribute to put away that negativity and to make the gamemode better. I have always said to myself that the reason I am playing is because I want to have fun and I would like to give that thought to the community as a moderator.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - I have never used a hacked client before and I don’t plan to ever.
Have you ever been punished (banned, kicked, muted, etc) legitimately on a public Minecraft server? If so, why? - I have been autobanned once on CTF, but it was a false ban. My player was glitching by sneaking and running at the same time, even if I was not sneaking. A moderator unbanned me right after I got autobanned. It was the only time I have been punished on a public Minecraft server.

What do you consider your greatest strength? - I have two greatest strengths that are both complementing themselves. Firstly, I am someone really responsible and mature. I like to be in charge of something and to have responsibilities. I am taking seriously all responsibilities I have. Secondly, when I begin something, I do it until the end and I am not someone who gives up. I believe in what I can do, and when I do something, I give my 100%. That is exactly why I take my responsibilities seriously.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? - My greatest weakness is that I’m in general pretty shy. I have always been like that and I worked to be less shy. When I meet new people, I’m always shy and it takes time before I feel 100% comfortable to open myself to those people. At the start, being in a community that is speaking English has been hard for me because it is not my first language, but what has also been hard was the fact that I was shy with people. Being in a CTF official team helped me a lot to open myself to the community and to not be scared to talk with people. Today, I’m pretty proud of all the work I have done to open myself and to not be shy with the community. I am talking more in CTF chat and in the discords that are related to CTF. I am also more active on the forum and in the discussions concerning CTF and ideas. Before, I was not involved in CTF as I am right now, because I was too shy, but now I really feel comfortable about all of that. I am still shy when there is a call with people that I don’t know (mostly because I still have some difficulties when I speak in English in a call), but I am working on that.

Which Brawl server(s) are you most active on? - I am the most active on Capture the Flag! I have spent some hours on Minecraft Build to create a CTF map, but most of the time I am on CTF.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? - This is my first Brawl staff application.

Right now, I’m trying to help in game and in ppms if a player has a question. CTF Academy is also a good way to help with the means that I have at the moment, but I would like to do more for the community and for Brawl. It’s not always easy to see which players are new to the gamemode, so as a staff member, I would definitely have more resources to notice the new players. The players will also notice that I’m here, as a staff member, to answer their questions and to help them if they have a problem. Being a staff member will improve my ability to do more and to help more than what I am in the possibility to do at the moment.

Even if I’m shy sometimes, I think I would be able to handle a situation like this. Being shy do not stop me to keep my point and to intervene when I have to intervene. If the chat is getting heated, I will intervene knowing what my responsibilities are as a staff member. Like I said in my application, I had an IRL job that required me to be in charge of employees, and for sure that experience would help me to handle that kind of situation.
