Disable Pets Outside of Spawn

    I have a problem with pets being able to follow you outside of spawn. While it's nice to have your faithful companion with you in the scary world of Raid, it seems to me, in combat situations, your pet can be used as a shield against opponents.
    I haven't actually tested this to see if this is a legitimate burden, so if I'm wrong, please prove me wrong. I'm begging you.

    Could always make pets automatically disable themselves whenever you're within 20 blocks of someone.

    Wouldn't that kind of give away someone's position, giving you somewhat of an advantage?

    As far as I know, most fights happen in or around spawn, where it's not really possible to hide from people very well. If true, the downsides would be negligible.

    Wdym give someone an advantage?

    You get an extra 10 seconds of warp time when you’re within 100 blocks from someone so if someone tries to warp, they’ll know someone is near them anyways.

    An advantage to know that somebody might be on to them. Some players don't have pets. We should maintain an equal playing field. Besides, SoCool mentioned downsides.

    That doesn’t solve the possible problem of the pet being a shield to begin with.

    I know I sound like I’m really pushing this, but really I’m just pointing out anything that’s possibly unbalanced or unfair.

    It blocks maximum one hit, I think we're fine.

    There may be another reason to disable pets: Horses. I don’t know if they are rideable but a horse that can be spawned and despawned at will would be incredibly OP.

    There are no pet horses. Probably for that reason.
