Brawl Junior Moderator Application​

What is your in-game name? - My in-game name is TwisterPvP.

Is your Minecraft account secured and migrated? - My Minecraft account is both secured and migrated yes.

How old are you? - I'm currently 19 years of age.

What time zone are you in? - Currently BST (British Summer Time) but changes to GMT.

Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? - I unfortunately can only speak English.

What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl? - I have a good knowledge of Brawl as a server and all of the great game modes it hosts. I have been playing Brawl since early 2016 but played MCPVP long before that also. I got really into MCPVP (Raid) and had a great time on there for a long time. When MCPVP was bought by Brawl, I played Brawl.

I have also a good knowledge of other game-modes on the Brawl network including KitPvP, WarZ and Party.

I have been a moderator for 3 different Brawl servers; Wild West, Raid and Party. Most of this time was in Wild West and Raid however. I believe in my year of moderating on Brawl I learnt valuable skills about Brawl and how things work.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? - Before Brawl, I didn't really have any experience when it came to moderating except for two small servers that didn't last too long. But having been a moderator on Brawl for just under a year, it gave me a great insight on all the commands, the protocols and the general etiquette which comes with moderating on Brawl.

Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl? - I would love to become a moderator on the Brawl network because helping people has always been a passion of mine. If this is through answering questions in the chat, helping moderate the chat, by assisting by catching hackers or by banning the hackers myself, I believe helping in these kinds of ways can only benefit the server as a whole. I believe that my knowledge and experience of chat moderation and of banning hackers would be welcomed in the staff team as you can never have enough people ready to ban hackers who plague Minecraft.

I already help out in a number of ways:

Suggesting ideas and discussing potential changes.
Chatreporting where appropriate.
Answering basic questions in the chat from new players.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - I have used a hacked client before. In early 2017 I was banned from raid for using an autoclicker / aimbot at my XP farm so that I could farm mobs while afk. I was subsequently banned and took my punishment. This experience, although of course not a positive, did help me further understand hacks in Minecraft and different ways to identify them.

Have you ever been punished (banned, kicked, muted, etc) legitimately on a public Minecraft server? If so, why? - The only other ban I have had on Brawl was for using AutoSneak on Wild West in I believe 2016. This was due to an error in which I downloaded the wrong AutoSneak modification.

My last warning on the Brawl network was in 2016. My history doesn't show this because of the reset of history a while back. I think that this speaks for itself in my maturity in just under 4 years of playing highly competitive game-modes, not to get a single warning is a record I'm very proud of, and even when I do get angry, I don't vent in the chat.

What do you consider your greatest strength? - The ability to not give up when times get tough. I honestly believe this also reflects me in real life. In sports and other activities in real life I never give up and always give my all. I'm very persistent and I feel that this is a good skill to have. This was my answer is 2017 and I personally think it's still viable now.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? - I would say that my greatest weakness is that I can see a little strict. For example, I tend to /chatreport people a lot. I only do it when people break the rules, but don't break the rules enough if you know what I mean. This is helped by being able to soft-warn people which doesn't leave a mark on their permanent record but just tells them to chill out a little bit.

Which Brawl server(s) are you most active on? - I would say that I am most active on Raid and KitPvP. In the past I have had phases of playing on WarZ, Party and Capture the Flag quite a lot also.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? - I have made 2 applications in the past (1 Accepted)

What is the date of the last application you submitted? - 7th August 2017

Do you have Discord? I do have Discord and use it frequently. I am currently in the raid Discord and the Brawl general Discord.

Hi SoCool, thanks for your questions. It's not in question that my forum activity and to be honest general activity as a whole has spiked recently. I've popped on every now and then, but my activity has only been solid I would say a month ago. I heard about the reset so didn't spend too much time on raid specifically, except around spawn as I didn't want to invest too much time at the EOTM. I frequented party around this time. As the new map rolled around, my activity has been very solid. I have over 2 days play-time, and a week in I think that's pretty decent. I can assure you that I will remain active for a long period of time whatever the outcome of this application.

In the past month especially I've been chatreporting players when I've felt it had been appropriate. I also like to engage in debates around different updates that could potentially be applied to raid to make sure it reaches its full potential as a game-mode. In the same vein, at SOTW there seemed to have been quite a few new players, so I spent some time answering any questions they had - just general information like the world border and how to do certain commands etc.

Since the punishment reset I have never had as much as a warning for anything chat related, and playing a highly competitive gamemode it is something I am very proud of. I can't recall the incident in question, but I do give as good as I receive without breaking any of the strict chat rules. I'm sorry that you feel a +0 reflects my application as a whole.
