Mc-War Shutdown Event

the end of an era

 

I haven't hopped on War in over a year, but because of the occasion, and because of the connections I've had with the server and the people who I've met and all of the amazing memories made, I'll make sure to hop on.

 

Oh wow. I haven't played the Gamemode on months, but it still pains me to know it will be gone from now on *for now*

I've had a lot of beautiful memories thanks to it. I'll make sure to hop on and pay my respects.

Thank you Snail for everything you have done for the War Community.

 

Expected but still sad to see it finally go. Truly the end of an era.

 

It's time has come. Like keks said, thank you Snail for all of your hard work with the server. You really are a real one.

Sadly I won't be able to attend the event on Saturday due to a prior engagement. Have a fun time you guys!

Rest in Peace, War. This gamemode is what brought me to Brawl back when Brawl was MPS. May it live on forever in our memories.

Already called up the boys... Expecting to see a lot of old faces for the last reunion.

 

Damn its been a while since ive been on here and will probably be the last time unfortunately. Been a good 7 or so years and met some great people.

So nice to play alongside some great people for years and years, god knows how many hours I have spent on this game. Will miss it very much.

Hopefully it can return in some form or another.

Besides, it's war 2.0. It's not the original, beautiful War 1.0 I would've loved to play one last time. Then again, I may just be an old man thinking the things we had in the past were better.

Either way, I guess I'm breaking my tradition of just posting on the largest profile post by making this post? I haven't been part of the Brawl scene since... god knows how long ago. I still have quite a lot of fond memories of the people I met on the way and all the fun we had together.

It's just sad to me that war has gone out not with a bang, but with a pathetic fizzle. For a server that once had +1000 players, it truly is a fall from grace that highlights the incompetence that was brawl at times. Hell, most of the time.

Still, I shouldn't be negative. War brought us together. It was fun. It was unbalanced as sh*t but we didn't care. I just hope that brawls new managers will be able to bring the server back into the limelight and that maybe one day, War can make a return. Not that I'll spend much time playing it, but it's nice to see things one enjoys staying alive.

It's been years since I didnt come here..
I only knew war V1.0 or Legacy as you call it. I used to play McWar hours and hours every day during 6 years..

I've made so many friends from this server. Still talking with them everyday since 2012. The community back then was incredible, everyone was kind, funny. It will be cringe to say that, but mcwar is a part of my childhood and I wouldn't thank you enough for the plaisure, the enternaiment that the server gave me. I have so many memories that I will cheer and enjoy everytime I will hear the word Minecraft.

But as we usually say, every great things have to come to an end. And McWar won't be an exception.
It brought so many players from everywhere together. And it was so f*cking awesome! Thank you for everything that you've and wish all the best You can rest peacefully McWar

For all the originals still kicking around, I hope life's been treating you well since those fun times from 2012-2015. I still talk to people from those days every now and again, and the time, memories, and friendships from those days will stay with me for a long time. I am extremely grateful to all the staff for the hard work they put in during their childhoods, and I am thankful for all the connections I've made with so many wonderful people around the world.

 

Well I don't really know what to say, kind of saw this coming with the change of leadership. I'm not really sad that war is going to be gone since it's been dead for years now and should of been cut loose long ago. Hope Brawl can get back on its feet someday however unlikely that is.
