Raid was in good shape to be a great, popular server again. Shame things went the way they did for silly reasons

 

Like CoCap said the idea was ok the execution was not.
Also on the new players of raid they dont really get the concept of it and think its a creative build or a normal survival and they wanna build houses at spawn and such.

 

Comments like this, and comparing player counts to the real mcpvp's player counts, kinda show me that newer players don't realize that easily half of the player count at any time was noobs, just having fun. That's why mcpvp was so great, they let these people have fun, and people like you enjoy the plugins, at the same time.

This is a good thing.

 

But then doesnt it completly devalue the point of raid, we all started off as noobs but the absence of a mod or staff to help them learn is whats failing them

 

You are exactly right. It is obvious to anyone who plays that there is a lack of interest somewhere, and this definitely is a deterrent. It is sad, and I hope it changes. But a lot would need to change, which is not that likely.

 

Ye i guess your point is valid but then i kinda feel sympathy Wut :O for the raid staff and brawl they are going through a diffrent ownership change and all of that , thats not to say raid wasnt in shambles before.The new dev though is actually kind of helpful in a sense and i see him more on then most staff

 

I've made my predictions about brawl as a whole, and raid as a gamemode. Guess only time will tell if I'm right.

as much as i loved raid. this update really kind of made it silly. pvp is buggy as hell and isnt the same, we dont EVEN utilize shields or most of the new things, dont even get me started on netherrite. im sure there's more issues i could list, but regardless not even counting all these issues alone, "Survival PvP" just isnt the same. you changed the name, you changed everything about it. and sadly enough there is rarely any staff on to explain to the newer players what the hell to do. most of them run around spawn fisting people.

oh did i mention that boosters were an awful ****ing idea? Iron armor has become useless because you can get 3 shot by a stone sworder because everyone in the server has STR 2 and Speed 2? what the HELL were you guys thinking? thats not very "survival pvp" for people to just buy 5 hours worth of potion buffs. it kills the feel and it also sucks when you get jumped by 5 naked people and end up losing a set of diamond because everyone does ludicrous damage.

my point is, raid really lost that magic feel it had all those times ago. i understand that most of the regulars that left, but whats fun in having 2-3 really overpowered teams marching around with netherrite and then the other 70% are lame noobs who dont have a single clue what they are doing? Terribly executed.

didnt you need like 300 forum messages to even apply for mod? or have they just REALLLLLLLY lowered their standards?

 

It has been two really powerful teams for a LONG ****ing time. Even back in like 2016 it still was just Vanta vs Sub. Also the boosters aren't a bad addition imo, although I must agree that strength needs a nerf. Also SurvivalPvP was just a thing after MCPVP Main, so I don't really see that there's a change in the name, it's more like a old name came back once more.
