    I have been playing on Mc brawl for about 3 years now and one of my favorite games is probably capture the flag I first found out about it when I first started getting into the server and it was really fun because all the people, community, and the advancing in the game. It was really fun and I got to know a lot of people from it. but after awhile I stopped playing on the server about 7-8 months ago and I came back recently and now everyone in capture the flag (which was probably one of the most popular games that I used to play earlier) is now dead. you used to see like 40 people playing cap the flag in a lobby on average and now its essentially deserted with you rarely almost never seeing over 10 people in a lobby. And I almost never see any1 that is on the leaderboard anymore (probably because they outgrew the game) but still I think its absurd how everyone left in just 6 months while the server was doing well about 6 months ago. so I'm wondering what happened? did everyone just leave did the server have a long shutdown? or did the dev's do something controversial? I just want to know what happened or get a idea on it. because it kind of sucks seeing a nostalgic game start to die out.

    (or maybe I just am never on at the right times and think its abandoned when its not)

    People stopped playing because they outgrew the game, the game is too difficult to learn for new players especially when they get destroyed by the last 40 players that know the game very well, so no new players come in, and the old og’s get tired of the game or get in new phases of their lives, and leave, in general capture the flag is not a very popular gamemode in general, skyblock and prison are more popular these days on servers but yeah brawl don’t have that,

    I think the reason for that may be the time of the year, players have to work and go to school so they definitely don't have a lot of time to play. Perhaps in the coming months our player base will increase again in view of the summer holiday

    Brawl staff is a group of young, incompetent and unprofessional players. They lack quite a lot of knowledge in basic skills required to maintain a popular server, such as:
    Innovation
    Creativity
    Communication
    Finance
    Adaptability
    Promotion

    Although the set of skills that Brawl staff has was excellent in maintaining a large and old player base, it is also the reason why the player base imploded as those original players grew older. If you take a quick look at the staff list, one doesn't really see anyone with great experience in what they are doing other than the developers. They are probably brawl's best assets.

    You aren't the first one to ask this question. I haven't looked on this website in ages, but I bet 50% of all threads are either about where the players are or how to make a game mode 'great' again. What Prouddyyy says is obviously true too, but Brawl doesn't have those game modes because of the lack of innovation. It died between 2016 and 2018.

    Easy solution:

    Bring back the Wild West
    And then ignore the rest.
    Who cares about Raid, Flags, or Party
    When you can ride a horse strong and hearty.
    Join the forces of evil and process stuff
    Or become a sheriff wielding their deadly cuffs.
    This is just my 2 cents for a server now tarnished
    I'll be quiet now and drink my coffin varnish.

    Staff took wrong moves. Brawl has stayed the same for ages now making it so people are just doing the same thing over and over again. Playerbase is toxic in a way which can drive away newer players. Brawl had a chance to advertise during the summer when it had a comeback of multiple players and they did nothing and let it go back down to 50. Brawl is also cheap and hasn't had anyone else advertise for it in a while. Brawl is just the same everyday there's nothing really new about it.

    I think a lot of people leave due to the same feeling that you are having right now. They take a break, come back to check on things, and everyone they used to play with is inactive. I have that same feeling with this server as a whole. Used to play on it every day with lots of people but as time went on, less and less people played or came back to check on things.

    Personally, I think the server could use a lot of work towards getting new and old players to play again.
