I didn't know you didn't get your protection back, Could be lag but I've tried hitting people who came back in and nothing happened
Maybe you would eventually be able to donate for better starter kits or pay with coins you get from kills to upgrade your kit

They wouldnt hav to get it per kill. On some servers its every hour you type /kit starter and get some stuff to get you started
