Ok, so I love the the forums, and everyone on it. But the only thing I dislike is how members no longer have permission to comment on mod apps. It may just be me, but I really don't agree with this. I don't think it should only be staff who get a say in the choosing of a mod, some members have some really good things to say, and the staff don't cover all the mistakes either. Recently I was reading a mod app, and it had no replies, and I really wanted to comment on how he could improve, but I had no permissions. This is just my personal opinion because, you know, it's not up to me, but just vote in the poll whether you think members should, or should not have permission to comment on mod apps.

A smaller group of people is better, since everything that needs to be said can be done with the group selected.
Eventually, most posts become things other people have said, and their opinion can be put on a poll regardless.

I see what you're saying, and I agree that the staff certainly have more maturity and understanding when it comes to mod apps. But also, some new people who make their first post a mod app don't have polls. I have also seen many people who play a lot have no polls.

I think they should let members post now, sometimes members can have proof of why they should not be mod. I agree with the thread.

Well, some people leave ALOT of hate, and it discourages people to
    1. Still play on server
    2. Post on fourms
I understand you liked posting on peoples mod apps, and to be honest, I was too. But, seeing as so many people where hating on new fourmers, about 70-90% of new members who first post is their mod app after getting that much hate
    1.Leaves the fourms
    2.Quits the server
We don't want people quiting, also, getting closer to the fourms makes people donate, after hearing how good some stuff is.
    Sorry, but -1
Also don't vote for your own idea. Thats just wimpy :v

Don't be sorry, I completely understand, and I kind of agree with you. New members shouldn't get hate, but you see, when a staff denies their app, they quit the server anyway because "they don't get mod". Given, this is not always the senario, I kind of agree with you, I was just wondering if anyone thought the same.

Maybe you can request a post THAT ACTUALLY MAKES A BIG PART OF THE DISCUSSION, that can be accepted by mods and higher ranks. (Proof of being extremely offensive, hacking on other servers etc.)

The reason we made it so only staff can comment on staff apps is because some of our members were posting rude and unhelpful comments. These comments were causing some of the new members who joined and made mod apps to leave, and be discouraged from joining our community.

I personally think that the choice to only allow staff to comment on apps was a good one. The moderators provide more helpful feedback, that doesn't discourage the players, and only encourages then to become a respectable members of our community.

We were way too harsh on the newcomers that had made bad applications and that we were bullying them off of the forums. The moderators try to give constructive critism and keep the members on. We already have the ability to vote, and also the idea of staff only only responding to mod applications was created by the members of McBrawl. Therefore, I say no and the system is a lot better than before.

Thank you guys, I hadn't looked at it that way. I completely agree now. I saw how the members commented back then, and I know the new members would reply back, tormented and sad, and it would honestly make me feel bad for them, and I agree that the staff make good critism to, but the only thing I left that I wonder about that is still on subject, what if the creator of the app wants to reply to the staff's comment?

Ha, no. First of all, Mod apps are post farms for people who do nothing but post "SNN -1". Second, people are extremely rude in staff apps, especially to people who are new. And third, I think that the moderators are on the servers enough that they kind of represent us players, and we know them much better than the higher ranking staff.

Putty said in his post that "He would if he could", but our Forums doesn't allow him to let the creators of the Staff Apps to post on their Apps.

    See the post here.

Thank you guys, you can go ahead and lock the thread now. I completely agree now, before I was just thinking, and I wasn't thinking about how rude people are on mod apps, and just vote down without reading. I also agree that staff make way better critism and suggestions then members do, and I always gave recognition to that. Thank you for resolving my topic.
